Pay ALL your debt off by Xmas 2017

Hi, I've paid off another £70 of my CC so my new total is:
#118 £3576.97 / £4861.03
This is my 3rd year on the challenge and each year I've ended up right back where I've started, pretty much to the exact pound! I've been the same, trying my hardest but life gets in the way, flatmates moving out and leaving you in the lurch, sisters getting engaged and then married 14 weeks later - thanks for the time to save for that one sis!
I find the last 3 or 4 months are the hardest on the challenge and everybody goes a little quiet, hopefully someone will sort another for 2018 and we'll all get a little closer each time!
p.s I've paid off £3500 this year but I've also accrued another £1800 over the year with selling/buying our house so I'm just as bad but this year I see it as a win that I'll be starting 2018 off with around £2500 debt rather than the £4800 from the other yearsTotal debt at LBM = £4861.03

Thank you muppets for this thread

I didn't want to make anyone feel bad because I am genuinely glad people are doing so well but actually even your 4 posts made me feel a whole lot better. And it's not feeling good about other people struggling but it's knowing that it's not just me and that was one of the most inspirational things about this thread when I first joined. Yes there are other places on this site t go if you want to talk about meal planning or extra income or whatever but even that bit of interaction as in I paid this by doing that reaches out I think. I think you are right - it can become an exercise is numbers, which can be great but can also be alienating for those looking for support. Glad the posts helped:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

I completely agree, it certainly helps motivate you and keep you going if you can see not just how much people are managing to pay off but also what they are doing to pay off debts. I'm eagerly awaiting next years thread and will hopefully be able to add in some support in this way.Change the way you see things and the things you see will change0 -

nearly there, i dont post with debt busting ideas because i dont do anything specifically to pay off debt but i have found having that target and posting that throughout the year has kept me aware of the need to pay it and not just spend any extra money in my budget.PAYDBX 2017 #073 2571/£2500
