Other drivers getting aggravated when turning

I myself find this regularly, people will gradually slow to a crawl, then indicate, then brake, then turn, and in these circumstances I will probably lean on the horn.
What danger are you warning anyone about? Because that's the only reason for using the horn - not to show frustration or annoyance.0 -

Horn is not for frustration.
If you can't see a car a) indicating b) approaching a junction and c) slowing down then I would politely suggest a trip to SpecsaversSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

To answer some of the points raised....
I always indicate well before slowing down.
The footpath has a well used cycle path. Many (most) cyclists fail to give way to cars as there is a speed bump which they can ride straight over. You have to look over your shoulder properly before turning.
That bump is immediately as you turn into the road. You cannot turn at any speed.
The road I'm turning into is narrow, so you cannot turn too fast, or you'll take the corner too wide and end up crashing into cars wanting to pull out.0 -

I'm not sure what you're expecting of us then?
Its never happened to any of us - i'm 47, driving 30 years and i've never had it happen, and noone else has said "yeah that happens me too"
So either you've been statistically extremely unlucky and had random nutters behave in exactly the same way, when you're performing a similar manuver across many years of driving OR you're doing something that is upsetting the flow of traffic behind you to the point of people actually blowing their horn at you?
I would bet on the latter, however you seem to be expecting some behavioural analysis here to prove that its the former and thus prove you "right" and all the drivers that have blared their horn at you "wrong"?0 -

Agreed, I've never had this happen either.Living the dream in the Austrian Alps.0 -

Yeah but you aren't are you? You're beeping the horn aggressively because you're frustrated you didn't realise they were slowing because you weren't paying attention. They are not causing a hazard, they're doing what normal people do - slow before taking a turn that they are indicating for.
Rule 112 states you're meant to use it to alert other road users of your presence.
If the car in front slows and swings right before turning you beep the horn if you are in the second lane if it looks like they'll hit you. If the car in front is indicating and slowing as they approach a turn they don't need to know you're behind them getting annoyedSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

If (as I said, if you care to read it properly) they haven't indicated before slowing, they are causing a hazard.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Only if you aren't paying attention. If you are gaining on the car in front, what do you think you should do, plough on through or slow down yourself. The horn is to prevent them hitting you not the other way around.0 -
Always some nutter somewhere. Spotted one a few weeks back.
Dual carriageway, fairly busy traffic. Idiot untakes and overtakes to gain an advantage over 3 or 4 cars. Then slams his brakes on because he wants the left turn into the industrial estate, almost causes an accident for the sake of a few seconds.
Daughter goes to work very early and being a new driver sticks to the speed limits, gets overtaken occasionally. Sometimes its just someone doing a few mph more but sometimes its someone close to double the limit.
I was turning left from a long driveway, restricted view to the right so you need to edge over the giveway line slightly. Looking to my left there was a car on the wrong side of the road overtaking a line of cars, probably in excess of 60mph.
People like that want to be banned from any wheeled transport as a driver or passenger. Chained at the ankles with a 200kg steel ball.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
