Hello all,
I'd like to join the challenge in 2017 with a target of £6000.
Thanks!I am insane and have 4 mortgages - total mortgage debt £200k. Target to zero = 10 years! (2030)0 -
After being a Debt Free Wannabe for the last few years, I'm now in the glorious position of being able to step up to the Mortgage Free Wannabe section of the forum!
We bought our first house in January and have been recovering ever since. We have a large mortgage on a 25 year term, and ideally I'd like to reduce that to 15 years through regular overpayments. The first aim is to improve our LTV so that when our fixed term ends we can get the best deal we can afford.
Anyway, as we're simultaneously trying to build up an emergency fund I'm going to aim for a £500 overpayment per month, or £6,000 in total. I've already set up the standing order. Once our emergency fund hits five figures, I'm going to bump the overpayments up a bit.
Bring it on.0 -
Can I join please?
I was part of the 2013 thread and have been OPing since just not part of this challenge!
Number 6 would be great if it's still available. Just need to finalise my budgets for 2017 and then I'll be able to give you my target.
Thanks

Welcome new folks.
icklehelen, I've put you on the pending numbers list for the moment as #6 was taken for 2016. If that person doesn't sign up for 2017 I'll give it to you.0
