Have you checked whether sales tax has to paid locally? The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

I always check for fuel return full to full and zero excess on damage.
ebookers is well established.
Just had a look and they offer both, also 6% cashback if you go through TCB or Quidco
I think they are both full to full. The rentalcars one certainly is, so it's not the fuel. Both seemed to have the CDW/LDW. Yes, will go through either TCB or Quidco, always good to get a little extra back.0 -

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I am thinking of playing golf when I go to Vegas in October does anyone have any recommendations of courses to play? Have been looking online and some look good but also expensive (Shadow Creek looks amazing), I want a good course for no more than $200 - $250 which would hopefully include club hire.
My OH has played a few courses. He would recommend Bears Best which he played twice earlier this year (April). They paid app $90 each to include buggy (own clubs).
Years ago he joined golfnow.com and books through that. If you're flexible on days/times it can save quite a bit. He usually books the day before.
It has become more expensive and obviously the exchange rate makes a difference. A few years back we always went in August and they got great rates as only mad dogs and English men would be out on a course midday in that heat!
If you want to know anything in particular about it you can PM me and I'll try to help.0 -
I had 5 cars this trip!
The last 3 days, we had 2 cars at the same time, Camero SS and Suburban..
If i would have known i would do some major losses in the last 2 nights, i probably wouldn't have splashed out on cars!! doh!!
Trip report later this week0 -
A friend of mine is going to LA for a couple of months and wants to visit Vegas for a night or two while he is there.
He doesn't know when he will be going so won't be able to pre book more than a couple of days in advance. What's his best option for a cheap Vegas hotel? Should he pre book or just turn up and see what's available?
I don't have any experience of booking hotels in the US other than from the UK.0 -

In Las Vegas, pressure on accommodation and prices are much lower during the week than at weekends.
Here's a map of accommodation - zoom in and pan around for detail:

Wowwhat exactly would you have done if the ESTA had not been agreed?
I would have applied before booking my flight (in case) would rather lose $14 than a whole holiday.

try hotelstonight app.
I've used it a lot for UK and plan on using it for 1 night in Sept in Vegas.
midweek obviously cheaper but as an example when I checked on Wed last week Linq was available for £24 (there will be resort fees to add). Others were around the same price and even Cosmo was on there a couple of weeks ago for £80.0
