it will be interesting to see if the Friday crowd changes our opinion at all.

If you go in the door from the walkway across from Aria on a Friday or Saturday night, the wall of noise from Chandelier etc. hits you physically. I never get used to it. :D

Done, booked my week in the Vdara Corner Suite. :T I did very well gambling last trip, and hit three jackpots in four days, so I'm fully prepared for this one to be a bust as that seems to be how it goes. :)

we are booked for may. cant wait (attempted to get there twice last year, but was In plaster :-( )
we are booked for harrahs, but we are doing vegas, then san fran, then salt lake then back to vegas. can anybody recommend anywhere we can maybe leave one of the cases so we don't need to traipse everything with us? is it likely to be something the hotel can help with?

you can leave your luggage at the bell desk at harrahs. very safe. its at the back of the property just before the exit.
im there in May too. :D

I am returning to Las Vegas for a short break April 14th to 17th. I am not a regular visitor but have been a few times.
When I visited in September I was blown away by the Fremont Street experience answer have decided to stay at the Golden Nugget ( gold tower) . It is my son's 21st and Jessica am not sure why he wants to go with this grumpy old man but I am looking forward to it.
I was hoping to see Carlos Santana as I missed him last visit by a day but apparently he is on tour.

Any recommendations where we should visit as this is his 1st visit would be welcome.

    Nice work :)
May I ask what average nightly price you got for your Vdara corner suite? I've still not seen any offers for our dates and been keeping tabs for months!

Story of my life. People who have played Vegas either just before or just after I was there: Fleetwood Mac, Santana, Joe Walsh, New Order, The Cure, Bob Dylan, Billy Idol, Rolling Stones. People who've played Vegas while I've been there: Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Britney Spears. :(

It works out at about £120 a night, average. That includes two weekends though, which doesn't help. I must admit I am not very good at being MSE, especially when it comes to Vegas. We only decided to book last week, but I've seen prices I'm happy with for both the flights and the hotel suite I want, so I've gone ahead and booked rather than play the waiting game. I cost myself £200 last trip by not booking The Cosmo at about this time, thinking it would go down. I did compare all the providers for the hotel, and Low Cost USA was by far the cheapest, like for like.

Has anyone seen the photos on MyVegas Friends Rocks of the guy who got the 3 nights in the Luxor Super Suite comped through Mlife?

Complete with sauna, fitness equipment and tropical garden/pond! :D

I wonder how much you have to gamble to get a suite like that???
The amount of space looks amazing, but the decor is  - what a shame! :)

That is a short trip so you will probably want to pack in as much as possible for your Son. Are you on a Vegas stopover on a longer trip or flying from the UK 14 to 17?

Assuming you arrive late afternoon early evening spend the first night checking in and you then go onto Fremont St, Friday and Saturday nights usually the best and busiest nights of the week. We really enjoy Fremont St at night compared to the Strip and always make the effort to visit at least once during a trip.

Depends what your party enjoy but Sat/Sun you can visit the strip, shopping, a show or maybe night club for your Son. Go for a nice meal and then return to Fremont St for more entertainment etc. I would recommend a visit to Red Rock Canyon or Valley of Fire but that will eat into your time, maybe something for a future visit ;)

Then return home to catch up on sleep :)

thanks, i'm struggling to find anything under about £200/night (inc. resort fees) for a corner suite... they've been at that level consistently :(

Ah, I should say that mine is not including resort fees. I always have a bash at getting them at least partially waived anyway.

Flights were £2450 (two people) with VA. PE both ways, which I thought wasn't bad for August, and it nets me more airmiles.

I must admit, although this trip is supposed to be cheap and cheerful , as we have the big family Orlando trip in August, I'm pining for the Signature now for our April trip! We are stopping at the Excalibur as we got a great deal with BA-under £1400.00 for 10 nights for myself and 8 year old.

When we went away just the two of us to Dubai, in October, sometimes we liked to just relax in the suite and have a picnic on the balcony. Usually when the whole family go away we're all out all day, so the hotel is just a base. But I've always done the Signature and like you and Vdara Misty, It's my Vegas go to place, lol! I might do a couple of nights there if I can get a good deal. I had an offer from Wynn insider for an Encore king suite of $189 including resort fees per night including two buffet breakfasts. Is that a good deal?
