Working on a March trip (Nascar) and a November trip (SEMA)....
Need to get the pink slip before I can book though ! ;);):D
  • Nothing booked for us.
We have gone in May for the past couple of years, but fancy a couple of city breaks around May this year.
Last year we also went in November, and really enjoyed it. Therefore, we are looking at visiting again in November this year.
Who knows though, as we are keeping an eye out for any bargains that might be about.

One thing we have noticed, is that MGM properties now are not collect or redeem on hotel.com reward program.
  • Just got back 22nd Dec - 1st

A very good trip, really noticed a difference for us personally with the low dollar but still did everything we wanted :j New Years Eve was a really special evening. We saw Elton John and then went over to the Cosmo to the Ice Rink and to watch the fireworks.

Hoping to squeeze a trip in this year but we will see. It won't be very long before the itch becomes too much.
  • So now more than ever with the pants $/£ rate, how can we be extra-ly MSE when it comes to visiting Vegas?

This could be a good list to compile for the front page... I'll start!
Consider using Uber or Lyft (with introductory free credit) instead of regular taxis. the could be as much as 40% cheaper

Likewise, due to various circumstances, for the first time in 10(?) years, I don't think I'll be going this year. Am I sad? I don't think so - not just yet anyways.

Going on my own last August, whilst ok, just wasn't as much fun as going with company in previous years and wasn't as much fun as other American cities are for a lone traveler (IMO) - factor that in with the current exchange rate and also my current financial scenario, along with the AA / BA Tier Point earning changes and the benefits just aren't stacking up in favor of Vegas.

That being said, I have trips planned throughout the year to Krakow, Liverpool(?! :D), Malaga, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Borneo and Mauritius and the whole lot (around 30 nights away) including accommodation has cost me less than £1200 combined so it's not all bad and I'll get to have a few holidays and it will definitely be kinder to my wallet than Vegas :)

Never say never though... I'll be still reading this thread and will be looking (with envy) at the pics of those on here who i'm friends with on Facebook ;):p

    Enjoy yourselves guys :)

Wow! That's getting about a bit isn't it. Have fun.

I have just got the last credit card bill in from our last trip. Will be able to see how much difference the low $ made when I sort it all out. I can't say that I felt the pinch too much (if at all) but we are not big spenders by any means.

Its official (sadly) Station rewards are gone for good from My vegas.

we always had breakfast at Red Rock, and Green valley, also used the cabana for a day at Sunset Station, plus a few others.

not much to spend my 500,000 points on now

Sure - what would you like to know? My main issues was that Vegas doesn't attract many single travellers, so finding and mixing with these people proved awkward. On my last trip, the people that I ended up mixing with in Vegas, were people that I'd met in other cities, who just happened to be there when I was.

I'm sure other single travelers on here will have more positive stories though, and if you find talking to strangers easy that will probably bring you more success than I had. I'm heavily introvert and just tended to attract drunk and bizarre people at the bars!!

    hi
    and thanks for the feedback!
I guess it ll be the first time i would do a holiday solo so it ll be different.
It it much more exspensive going solo? as far as some research i ve done it ll be a tad more .
Id worry a lil about going to the buffet alone as well
I guess i d worry a lil about being *judged* i guess being a single guy, being there alone.

Being more on the *shy side* i guess i d prob keep myself to myself if i did a solo trip.
Though on the plus side i could do what i wanted-when i wanted.!:j
anyhow thanks for the feedback, !
