I just do it the 'easy' way - I have a $20 in my hand resting on the desk and ask 'could I just check please, if there are any complimentary upgrades available?' If they upgrade, I say 'thank you so much! may I give you this for all your help?' If they don't upgrade, I just put the $20 away when we're heading to the room. Easy.
    .

What Ferf said. That's what I did when we stayed at the Venetian. I just asked if there were any discounts on the (stupid) resort fee, or was there any room upgrades available, due to us staying there for 14 nights. We got upgraded to a nice suite with a Strip view, and the lady actually turned down the $20 at first, but I told her to accept it because we saved a lot of money and we were up on the deal.
I'll admit that I was a bit nervous when I tried it, but don't be scared, they can only say 'no' and the $20 goes back in your purse and you can always 'invest' it in a slot later. HTH :)

in some cases, the Alamo Brits website does come in cheaper sometimes (I don't normally say this! :D:D:D  )

keep in mind, I did a quote for 7 rental, not 11....... (1st to 8th)
    1st to 11th = £336 for a Fullsize car with Dollar.

My current favourite is Autoeurope, they must have reduced there margins, as rates are quite good.....

I have 2 cars booked via them, with Alamo.... I'll do Kiosk, goto garage, slip $20, and drive out in a tank hopefully :)

Just checked out autoeurope for my dates, they are coming in at same price as Alamobrits initially (with alamo) but they then add on $10 a day for an extra driver :( whereas extra driver is free with alamobrits

All locations get decent reviews on Yelp. An average of 4 stars.

I'm not a fan of pancakes, so can't help with any other suggestions.

wow - that pancake place sounds great!

We are going to try Naked City Tavern for breakfast - and if they don't have the bacon candle on the menu, my hubby will probably have to go sit in the corner and cry for awhile.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

    Secret Garden at The Mirage...

I'm struggling to spend my last MyVegas LPs (about 72k) on something we'd be interested in for our trip in a couple of weeks.

We've already booked a BOGO for Aria dinner buffet and 2 tickets for Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay.

Reviews of the Secret Garden never seem to be amazing, but we've never been in... worth doing if it's free?

We have done the secret garden on a few occasions over the years.
I really enjoyed it the first time, but it seems that every time we went after that first visit, there were less animals each time.
If the animals are awake...which is very rare in the daytime...they are nice to see.Especially the white tigers.
I think we kept going back because after looking around,it was always a nice place to sit in the sun and enjoy a beer, and just relax for an hour or two....not sure we will go again, but for free...why not.
