Anyone had any experience flying with Thomas cook from stansted to Vegas? I didn't select seats at the time of booking and it won't seem to let me now? I thought I would be able to select them for free at online check in but seems they randomly allocate?

I haven't done that route but I understand from friends that it's standard with Thomas Cook that you get random seats if you don't pay to choose your own

  • Am thinking of getting myself a new MacBook and iPad when I'm in Vegas, is it best to just go to the Apple store or is there anywhere else that people would recommend?

I just got mine from the Apple Store. I don't think anywhere else is allowed to discount their products.

Not done the Stansted route either, but I remember that the same thing happened to us flying from Manchester.
We had to get there early anyway 'cos of that stupid form you had to fill in, but it won't let you online, and we asked to be sat together while we were there. Apparently it was sorted anyway.
I have to say that the random seat allocation has to be one of the most stupid ideas ever.

Just an update that this works for keeping TR balance active. Probably need to do at least 10 weeks before due to expire. I used low value transactions on aliexpress

Can't really answer your question, but we have only ever been asked how much money we are carrying when entering the states...no one seems to care when we are leaving.Even less bothered when we land back in the uk.

Think I'd wait until I made the last 800 before I started worrying ;)

Well I made it to the money, so now I do have the problem to worry about.

I have to admit I am someone annoyed at the U.K. banking system putting me into this quandary where I'm worried about my legitimately sourced funds being frozen
