Hi :santa2:- Great diary !! - have subscribed.
Can I just ask with regards to this statement here:-Our debt was mainly due to me becoming disabled in 2014 and no longer being able to work conventionally.
I wonder if you are elligible for a car on Disability - I note that you have two cars that you pay out for. It was just a thought.?
Other than that your'e doing great. Well done on the sale of your painting :T:T

Hi little miss, My car has been paid off for a few years now, it's 11 years old! My hubby's car will be paid off (it is included in the loan) in 18 months ( or sooner, if I have my way!)
I am eligible for a car through disability but the 'payments' for the car would come out of my disability payments (which is what we are living on at the moment. I don't need a new car really, I don't use it that often (basically hospital and doctors appointments that hubby cannot take me too). I will be getting rid of my car once hubby is retired too.

So ermmmm I have a confession.....
I just bought a chest freezer from Argos through Topcashback.
I know I said I wasn't spending any money until Jan but.... 10 reasons to justify my purchase
1. The 11% cash back offer ended today
2. We needed more freezer space
3. It was the cheapest one I could find £94.99 - reduced from £129.99
4. It will mean we can buy our full months shopping in one trip saving petrol, legs (if walking) and time!
5. I feel guilty, I don't feel guilty!
6. It is our joint Xmas present to each other (we were not buying presents for each other this year)
7. I will still be in credit with my bank on 6/1/17
8. We have needed one for ages and was looking at 2nd hand but this was a bargain.
9. It means the first week of every month all cash payouts will be made, leaving me loads of nsd's
10. 1 bank withdrawal per month (same as 9 really but I needed to get to 10!)

Merry Christmas Eve lovely ladies xx
Our chest freezer arrived yesterday and is sat in the garage 'settling' before we turn it on! I cannot wait to fill it full of staples and home made goodies! Roll on 6th Jan lol
I bought some plants for Fil birthday (10/1/17) which were supposed to be despatched on31 Dec, however, they arrived yesterday too! So now he is getting his b'day gift before his Xmas gift as we have to plant the bloody things today in a force 10 gale! It will be worth it to see the joy on his face though! I am really going to miss him when his time comes but hope he can at least last until the spring when these plants will come to life. Hmmmmm fingers crossed.
Yesterday my family had a trial run doing a group Skype call ready for Xmas morning, so I can see my grand babies opening their presents. Yesterday's attempt was a car crash! But if nothing else we will have a laugh trying!
I hope everyone is well and in festive spirits! It's nearly over guys...we can make it! Lol xx

Merry Christmas Eve. Shops are shut now so if it's not bought -tuff.
I too desperately need a bigger freezer but plan on a new kitchen in 2018 so it would be false economy to buy one, I'm going to have a big American style fridge freezer so am holding out till then.
I've subscribed to your diary too. Good luck on your journey!

Back after Xmas break!
I had a lovely Christmas with the in-laws, plenty of food and laughs were had!
I have bought 8 presents from M&S sale for Xmas 2017. The total came to £53, I reckon that was a bargain. I have yet to check my bank account but hope by 6/1 it will be fine!
I hope everyone else had a great Xmas xx
