  • Sounds like a great day!
  • Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I had a migraine :(

Anyway, I felt fine today and have counted the penny jar.

    £23

And had my hubby check his account before he gets paid tomorrow.

His o/d now stands at £2988, which I thought was pretty carp considering he told me it was £3000 to begin with...... Guess what..... He 'rounded it down'. Are u effin serious?

He guesstimates his o/d was £3200 but I want to check his bank statements before I swear to that. He is on nights today and tomorrow but will check as soon as I can... Wot an eejit!

Honestly, he sees me scrimping foe every penny but cannot even give me accurate figures.

    And breathe....

Congratulations on selling your first painting. You must be very talented, despite your protestations about having no qualifications etc (didn't know there were qualifications in the usual sense for art things anyway? I know people with art degrees, if that is what you mean, but they don't do any art - conversely, another friend who has no such degree is a noted illustrator of children's books :))

  • Yes it blinkin is bobarella!

Right, hubby has been forced to SHOW me his bank balance and I now have accurate figures to share. I have already taken his debit card off him and we do not have anymore credit cards as we got a loan out to pay the car and cc off. I am going to give him 'spends' once a month £20 but have told him if he starts buying carp with it I will lower the amount.

So, it may seem like I am treating him like a child, (which I am) but until he grasps how serious I am about this then that is how it has to be. (I think secretly he likes me being in charge ;) ) I think when I told him if we don't sort our finances out before he retires, he won't be retiring and he can kiss goodbye to the cruise, might have helped :rotfl:

    November:
    Hubby o/d £3498
    My o/d 300

    December:
    Hubby o/d £2988
My o/d won't be calculated until 5/1/17 (I get paid 3 times a month so after advise from EH I have picked a payday of 6th of the month to stop confusion, I also know I should be out of my o/d by then :j )

On a side not, how do I make a signature?
