Food poisoning at Trafford Centre Restaurant

My daughter & partner have been extremely sick following a meal out on Monday at the Trafford Centre.
I have e mailed the restaurant & they are investigating they say through a 3rd party.
Unsure of any rights or where else I should report to to ensure no one else experiences the same?

has the doctor been able to pinpoint the source via stool samples?
have they confirmed food poisoning rather than something like norovirus?0 -
Unless you are omnipresent you cannot "ensure no one else experiences the same". You could contact Environmental Health, who may temporarily shut the restaurant down.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

What rights are you expecting to have?0

Unsure of any rights
Were you hospitalised?
Have you suffered any material loss?
By "rights", do you mean compensation?0 -

Wouldn't the balance of probability be enough?0 -

Yes, but not in the way you think.
You would need to prove - on the balance of probability - that they were negligent in their duty of care and the negligent act/omission caused the damage/injury.
However, given the incubation period for food poisoning can be anything from a few seconds to 6 months...I would say its a long way off from the balance of probability supporting the restaurant as being the culprits. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
If you really feel the restaurant is to blame you could always contact the Food Standards Agency or your local authority.0

How do you know what I think?0 -
