30 day rolling contracts are quite common. Sometimes the 12 month ones are better value.

£18 is fine if you use all that data? But I prefer paying ~ £10

Usually I use 8 gigs a month which caused me to consider 8GB/unlimited/unlimited from Vodaphone for £17 but an extra 2 gigs for an extra £1 might come in handy. Special offers which as far as I know are longer available.

Thing is Plusnet have only just started a mobile service, so there will not be many / any who have more than a month to go on
It's Life Mobile rebranded, so presumably the technical side of things will be no different to how things were with Life.

Customer service might be a different matter though. Not sure if Plusnet have just taken on all the existing Life CS facilities or brought it into their own.

Got my 4G SIM from them today, got it fired up straight away without any problems.
Customer services seem just as efficient as when they were LifeMobile, the only difference is that they keep calling you 'Pal'.

    Alanwsg,
Can you check something for me please? Does plusnet support call forwarding? I'm currently with Virgin who don't allow you to change the pre-programmed Voicemail service number, meaning I can't use Hullomail visual voicemail.

Do you also know if Plusnet allows texts to short codes, such as texting X Factor votes, or donations to charity.....eg "Text FIVER to 85300 to donate" or "Text STUDIO and your comments to 83133"? Because I used to be with The Peoples Operator and codes such as these type didn't work.

LifeMobile did not support call forwarding or short codes.

I can't imagine that Plusnet are any different as they're just LifeMobile with a new name but I don't know for sure.

Try going on their web page and using the Live chat option, their CS is very good, I'm sure you'll get a quick answer.

Alternatively, post a question here, they seem to respond pretty quickly...

    Virgin allows short codes.

  • Got 2 of these for teenage daughters with unlimited calls and texts and 4GB of data for a tenner...

30 day contract was a winner for me

    Let's see how it goes

That site looks useful, but the people at the other end don't appear to know much.

Calls to 0800, 0808 and 03 numbers are free they tell me, after I pointed out that's a typo.

Life mobile here and got the texts saying its switching to plusnet, had a text today to say restart phone to allow the new network name to show.

I wonder if they will alter my £6 deal? 1500M, Unl TXT and 2GB data.

My wife is currently on this deal, which for £6 I thought was a steal for how much she uses, and what she uses her phone for.

However, the signal for both Life, and now Plusnet is pretty useless - doesn't work in the living room, only works in the bedroom if you stand like a contortionist etc etc. I'm with Talktalk and I have no signal problems. The provider being swapped over has made no difference to the poor reception sadly. So bad us it, we're having to look around to swap providers.....
