Congratulations Gemzie. Sorry to hear about the problems with your old job.

Dolly - Yes am feeling really positive about my no buy. I am fed up of wasting my money and having so much stuff! I blame YouTube!!

I still love watching YouTube. Most of the time now I think myself lucky that I don't live in the US. Love panning videos and have a strange fascination for people's empties.

    Congratulations Gemzie, that's amazing news!

It's a shame you got treated so badly by your old place, but the best thing to do now is put it behind you - forget about them, you've got an awesome start to the new year to look forward to :T

Ok, a few more UUs before the end of the year, yay!
    - Sachet Elemis Dynamic resurfacing night cream. WNB. Nice, but I prefer either Alpha-H at night, or a normal cream.
    - Elemis PCMC 15ml tube. WBA. This is interesting, I do really like PCMC, I think it's excellent, and always happily use it, but I'm not sure it's a true HG. But I've got plenty of it, and do think it's great value when on offer. So I'll keep going :)
    - Sass Intimate Purifying cleanser. WNB. Just nothing special.
    - Roger&Gallet Le Soin Aura Mirablis Double Extract mini face oil/serum. WNB. Too oily, didn't sink in well.
    - Elemis bath oil
    - L'Occitane rosemary bath cube

I wanted to grab some Lush stuff in the sales, as I'm out of bubbly bath stuff now, but couldn't get through online, and there was nothing left in my local store yesterday. Oh well.

So, my final in's from the sales, pressies, and xmas money spending look like this :)

Got a bunch of Elemis stuff myself with some xmas money (total cost was £71.50), just arrived this morning!
    - Visible Difference eye collection (I've wanted this for ages, I love their eye cream) including
    • Pro-Collagen Advanced Eye Treatment 15ml
    • Pro-Collagen Eye Renewal 15ml
    • Pro-Radiance Illuminating Eye Balm 4ml
    - and little stocking filler things which included
    • Sweet Orchid Shower Cream 50ml
    • Sweet Orchid Monoi Body Oil 35ml
    • Frangipani Monoi Shower Cream 50ml
    • Frangipani Monoi Body Oil 35ml
I got the "stocking fillers" to bring my spend to over £80, so I could use my £20 off voucher, plus I really wanted more body oil, and I've none of their travel sized bottles left.
And as a freebie I then chose a 10ml sample of their Dynamic resurfacing serum, which is worth almost £30 on it's own! Plus an extra little sachet of hand cream.

My sister then also gave me some Laura Gellar stuff that doesn't suit her:
    - Full size Balance and Brighten in Medium with brush. It's too dark for her, and actually slightly too dark for me at the moment, but that should change soon. I'm REALLY impressed with this so far.
    - and a blush, which I've not really tried yet, but does look nice.

My advent calendar stuff is also all put away in the cupboards now. So my cupboard is now pretty full again - no more shopping needed or allowed for aaaaaages! :O But it's still not as bad as it used to be, phew.

I love Balance n Brighten though nowadays I tend to use it on top of another foundation rather than alone. Which blush did you get?

    Nice Elemis haul too.

Deleted_User, you probably feel differently about the bag as it's a considered purchase as opposed to the cheaper items you pick up in Lush. You've done something positive by listing some items on eBay though. I'm with you re bath bombs though. The only one I've really been impressed with lately is the Yorkshire Soap Company one which had tonnes of fragrance and oil in it.

I'm sorry to hear you have been feeling low Deleted_User. New handbag sounds lovely and great you got in sale after wanting it for so long.

VALM I still love YouTube as well. Love a good empties video and project Pan too. Amazing and inspiring to see people UU whole eyeshadow palettes! I have not yet ever finished an eyeshadow or lipstick.

I have just been through my stash and have picked out a number of things that I have only used once and found didn't suit me, mainly make up products. I would like to give these away and get them out of my stash. If anyone would like a list of the items, please PM me.
  • Sending anyone who is feeling a bit remorseful and or low a big hug! We've all been there. I felt a bit low over and after Christmas and have spent in sales, but in tops not toiletries! Mainly because couldn't get onto Lush and shop sold out! Probably for the best. I need to be selective with there. It is definitely a place you can get carried away with. I think it is because it feels a bit like pick and mix as an adult! Does anyone get that? I'm the same with say pens and pencils bought individually. It's so easy to grab a bunch and feel like UU can't just by one!

I have toiletries envy of some of your purchases folks, but let's try to all reign it back for January.

I know I will need shampoo and conditioner but likely nothing else!

There's loads of cleansers I want but I am making sure I finish most of mine before picking up any new ones. I think I have 2 or three all on go to use up.

Bath stuff I will try to resist and use up my little Christmas bits and wait until Feb or March for anything from Lush.

I too am all about bubble bars and melts and not bombs!

Gems ie huge huge congrats on the job!!! I'm in awe of your resilience and perseverance! Well done chick.
  • Evening all

Hope everyone has had a lovely day. On the final flurry to get as many UUs as I can for this month and year.

Boss orange body lotion 100ml - wmba as enjoy this fragrance but fancy trying something else.
K.style hottest fibre paste 100ml - wba as works well with my short hair, will speak with my hairdresser
Boots botanics mineralising bath soak 60g - wnba, this came in a gift set that I was given years ago but not sure if it did anything.
Gillette antiperspirant clear gel 70ml - wba and already have another in stock (hg)
Pears shower gel 250ml - this was left by a family member so used up what was left. Quite a pleasant smell but am looking forward to my Molten Brown
Aveda kinetics hydrating lotion 150ml - wmba, like the scent on this but not sure if I need something a little extra now I'm getting older. Currently using some of the many PCMC I have.

  • Thankyou guys, so excited to get started and get out of the house and earning again. Hopefully there will be some normality restored!

Dont want to enable you guys, but i have ordered from the german lush today, they ship to uk - a tenner for up to 10kg. Worth it for a large order. Most items still in stock and there's some gift sets in stock on there. Got the star shaped set id been eyeing up. Made up for not being able to get on the uk sale.

Got a couple of UU tonight too:

Lush granny takes a dip bath bomb- WBA when next in kitchen. Liked the smell of this one.

Beauticology vanilla frosting foot lotion- WMBA would use if recieved again but wouldnt go out of my way to re purchase. Smelled pleasant enough but took forever to rub it in.

Deleted_User and anyone else feeling a bit down in the dumps - I hope you feel better soon. Unfortunately it is easy to feel a bit low at Christmas as our expectations can be so high, I have a very simple, laid back Christmas and just enjoy a few treats, family time and a rest and don't try to be perfect:D.

    I have a uu

Aveeno Moisture Lotion 400ml - this was a prescription item for DD from April 2013:eek:, the kids were using it but they must use the size of a pin head each time so I got on the case and now it is in the recycling.
