With that sort of mileage are you looking at diesels or does it matter to you. If going for petrol then how about a BMW M240i or M140i if you need the practicality of a hatch, if diesel then the 125d or 120d M Sports. All the above with BMW's 9 speed auto box. This is coming from someone who actually has experience of driving these cars.
I wouldn't bother with the Volvo, it does have great seats but the rest of it feels a bit plasticky and cheap, you'd soon get bored.
Maybe BMW's have changed but don't the 240i and the 340i have the same engine?
They're up to 9 speed autos now? Here's me thinking 8 was more than enough in the X5.0 -

Well, I have enough common sense to know that suggesting a BMW M240i as a company car doing 20-30k per annum is ludicrous. And since when was the BMW M240i/M140i even in the same price bracket as the Seat Leon FR or Ford Focus ST? Are you aware of the running costs associated with a car like the M135i, seen the tyres on that thing? 245 35R 18 and I wouldn't want budget tyres on a car with that sort of power. Knowing this ridiculous car it will probably wear the tyres at a much quicker rate than normal cars.
Who suggested the 340i? I mean it's a good car but.0 -

"BMW need to understand that most people don't drive on a race track."
If you devoted as much time to earning money as you do to Trolling and reading BMW facts you might actually be driving one by now.0 -
Yes they use the same engine in the M240i and 340i, though I think the power is slightly different (circa 10bhp) due to a more performance orientated intake/exhaust for the M240i. BMW need to understand that most people don't drive on a race track.0

But you brought up the 340i. So far all I can tell is that you made a stupid suggestion and are now essentially arguing with yourself. If you're going to make stuff up, at least be consistent
At the risk of heading towards the topic, I'd go for the Seat, as it's probably a little bit cheaper.0 -

The Focus RS is still cheaper! And that is meant to "compete" with the BMW M2.Yes they use the same engine in the M240i and 340i, though I think the power is slightly different (circa 10bhp) due to a more performance orientated intake/exhaust for the M240i.
