halifax online - finding time of transaction ?

hello,

sorry if this is the wrong section, i got confused.

i am paper free, with halifax online and wanted to reference the time of chip and pin transactions,

halifax tells me:
We provide more details about all transactions on online statements. Simply click on any transaction to view more details about the transaction such as the date, time and payment method (e.g chip and pin).
but when i click the transaction, there is no time stamp.

please can anybody help me with how to obtain this information ?

would it be on a physical statement from the bank etc ?

thanks for any help.

regards

I've not had paper statements from Lloyds Bank for a couple of years now but as they run a similar system I can only see time stamps on my Faster Payment transactions.

When it comes to Chip & PIN transactions I can only see the amount spent, date of transaction, retailers name and type of business it falls under.
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

I know faster payments have a time stamp, but not for chip and pin payments this is shown online by clicking on the transaction.

  • Why bother - either the transaction is yours or it is not?
I couldn't give a fig what time a retailer processes a transaction as long as they only take what was agreed by us.

If the time of the transaction was known\accurately recorded then it would be easier to use CCTV to identify an individual using the card. This could cut down fraudulent activity then forcing the fraudsters to become more creative.

is there a particular reason you want to know the time?

Are you trying to jog your memory? Or is it joint account that you are trying to pinpoint which joint party did the transaction?

We may be able to offer other advice if we know what you are trying to reference.

As above it only shows a time-stamp for FPs to other banks outside LBG.
