1lb loss for me this week. Such a shame to be 0.5lbs off my 6 stone target but onwards and upwards. I am going to Rome this weekend for 2 nights so not sure whether I will be able to achieve the target next week either. Oh well...will do soon. Think positive.

The curse of the chart is behind me.

And talking of smoking, I gave up just after I got married (and then I piled on the pounds) and I was worried that this was the first time I did a proper diet without the use of cigarettes - but it has been fine.

retiredlady - do you have much more to lose (apart from this fresh 7 lbs)?

"...LGDNUFC (is it Gladys by any chance?) I must say that your menu plan for today looks great; it never ceases to amaze me how SW ever works  but it does!!! I know for certain though, that if I ate that I would never have lost any weight, perhaps I've ruined my metabolism over the years by 'bad' dieting:o ..."

thanks petrichor, all i seemed to do yesterday was eat. i have found loads of recipes on the other forum so hopefully i wont be short of good stuff to eat. what works for some people doesnt always work for someone else.i think if you find one that works stick with it.
    nope, it isnt Gladys!!!:rotfl:

    Gwendoline :D ?

Welcome back retired lady: of course you are remembered :T

Fabulous news re the smoking :A and that you are back on plan already.

Nice to hear from you Ajax. Dreadful to hear you are having to work hard for your money :D . Glad you sound confident you WILL retify any short term damage. That's what it's all about: ups and down but overall more downs.

    Morning one and all

Im back!! I survived (just) and we won the plate final!!

Well actually the plate final in this case was a 3rd/4th place play off, but it was still a trophy :) To be fair considering I was so bad I couldnt keep water down Saturday morning, its not a bad result.

So while my brain still functions, is it Gwendolen? LGDNUFC?? Welcome back retiredlady, 1lb a week isn't too bad, I am sure most of it is artifical so it shouldnt take too long :) and well done on quiting smoking. Hope your doing ok Delly, a very gentle hug for you. and a big hug to my mate petrichor :j thats one hell of a step count :) Well done to efrieze, raphael, Queenie & vickyJ and any other losers I happen to miss out.

    - Can I echo what the ladies and Ajax are saying? Its all very good advice and all it takes is one small step, but its a step you need to take. The people here will be ahppy to help you on the way. Trust me they great :)

Victory, regarding Boots and the jumping toddlers, I made a complaint eariler in the year as they moved the scales and it was against the wall, so it wasnt level. I noticed that before I stepped on it it was saying 0.0 or blank. I guess on the plus side it is right by the prescription counter so I have never seen a jumper and it is been watched. Since MrsSuggs moved in there is a digital scale in the house, which is consistently 1lb more than Boots, so as long as that relationship maintains then I will keep using Boots. :)

ajax, hope all ok with you mate.

Bails Hugs, hugs, hugs and more hugs for you

Right back to work for me, for a few minutes, sorry if I have missed you out. I will weigh-in tomorrow, what the result will be I don't know :(

Edit - I spent so long typing my post that BrightonBelle beat me to Gwendolen :) So how about Gabrielle??
