Morning all :hello:
I've had two nights in a row without internet access at home  and I feel really out of touch now.
Well done to everyone for their results this week - good or bad - and congratulations to the three SOTW's.
Thanks for the chart Delly, I love the colour scheme too. Are you going on holiday? (See how out of touch I am:() - if so, have a great time.
Efriese - good luck with the chart for the next few weeks - feel free to email, PM or IM me if you get into difficulties, as long as I've got internet access I'm happy to help. I'm happy with your suggestion re the monthly challenges.
Hopefully I'll be back on line later and have more time to catch up with everyone - have a good day, and be careful out there (so many temptations!).

Morning all - reporting after the excesses of the last week and WI last night - I got on the scales and nearly fell off them, have lost 1.5 lb. Methinks I'm going to have to be super careful this week or it's all going to come and bite me on the 'arris at WI next week!!
Well done all the losers out there, and to those who aren't doing as they had hoped keep your chin up it will all pay off in the end

Thanks for the chart
2lbs to lose to do the 5lb challenge hmmm. Have eaten lentils most of the week though whilst waiting for payday so guess it may be possible  Definitely trying for next month though as if I get another 5lbs loss in October then I'll be "healthy" according to the BMI
Made up a nice sauce last night, chopped leeks and gently fried (in a drop of oil), added soy sauce, balsamic vinegar and some honey. Then added passata and whole cherry tomatoes and cooked till the tomatoes went soft and split. Yum - served with salmon steaks and new potatoes.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
great news justmarried - now don't be lulled into a false sense of security - stay good and hopefully you will have had a lucky escape! V impressed at Jules's willpower at not having the MCD's well done! I fell off the wagon last night - planned to have a bag of Burt's bloody mary chips which was well within my syns but then chased them down with a penguin and a vast quantity of honey coated seed mix. Still it's my mothers fault for buying it for me and at least it's gone now.
I seem to have caused a stir with the chickpeas - hope you all enjoy them. I've kept them for up to 3 days and they're still good. This is actually the first stage of a medieval recipe . . . you follow it up by putting your roasted 'chyches' in a pan covering them with water and some olive oil ( ftrylight doesn't work), then adding a peeled bulb of garlic some pepper, ginger, and cloves. Cook til lthe chickpeas are soft again and serve with couscous( also known as frumenty, especially if you make it with chicken stock and mbeat an egg into it before serving). It can take anything between 40 minutes up to an hour and half to roast them granny - it really depends how much liquid was in them to start with. They should be a really dark golden colour and be crunchy when you take them out of hte oven - if in doubt, leave em in and turn it down lower!
Spent last night oiling my box whilst watching Heroes. Down Ajax, down!! I mean my oak chest. Oh dear, that's not sounding any better is it? I waxed it this morning too.
Petrichor - Hiro is just getting cuter and cuter. Now that Peter is looking all grey and poorly I may have to switch my attentions. Also v confused about Mr Bennett. Can't decide if he really is trying to protect Claire as best he can or if he is evil. BTW I watch it on BBC3 so if you only watch BBC2 then I'm an ep ahead of you. I don't think i've spoiled anything!0 -

Hi All
I have been away from this for a few days and have come back to see that you nice people (thank you delly) Have ignored my panic about my new scales and have used the 4lb loss!! I can't tell you how much that motivated me this morning when I saw it - am going to be extra good for the rest of the week!
I have also decided to cut out alcohol for the next few weeks (will see how long i last!) I have a leaving party tomorrow night and then my OH best friend wants us all to go on a pub crawl on Saturday - both days i am going to be drinking fizzy water instead of booze!! I just think that if i go over the top with drinking, i end up going to the takeaway on my way home and ordering way to much thinking it will be good for my hangover the next day!
Can someone help me with this weigh in lark please - when should i weigh myself to get the most out of the chart - Wednesday morning? I am currently doing it on monday mornings.
On a complete aside - have discovered http://www.dietgirl.org/ The amazing adventures of diet girl - what a brilliant read!! I think it helps that she is based in Edinburgh (as am I) but I really enjoyed reading about her struggles with her weight (she went from 150kg to 75kg)
Till we meet again. xxx0 -

I hope you're feeling better BB. I wouldn't have any more cold showers, what about some aromatherapy oils if you want to be stimulated? I think the citrussy ones are quite good.[/quote]
What do you do with these oils grannynise? I've never been into them before. I can't bath with any oils or rub anything to my skin or I'm in big trouble. Didn't have a cold shower this morning. Wasn't complete madness to try them though, as 10 years ago I spent 2 years on a cold bath therapy programme (20mins everyday up to neck with cold water) and it was very helpful. But i wasn't on immune suppressants then so maybe my white blood count can't cope with the extra demand.
Newlywed: me too! only got 6lbs to go until I'm technically not medically overweight and have a BMI of 25. My parents are already saying are you going to stop now: They can't quite get it that I'm eating buckets of healthy food on SW, why would I stop eating so well? I get my occasional treats and meals out. This is a positive way of eating for life as far as I am concerned and I'll stop losing weight when my body reaches it's natural balance with my level of activity. I think I've been overweight for so long that they can't imagine me any 'thinner' than I have now reached after 1.5 stone loss. But I'm still a size 16 (and I'm 5ft 6') so at least a stone to go as far as I'm concerned.
:j justmarried. RESULT :rotfl: And perfect 10:beer:
Thanks for the kiss petrichor: I'm not contaigeous, it's other people who can contaige me. You lot need to let me know if you have any colds, or worse so I can avoid you til your better. Whiteblood count suppressed by drugs so can't fight things off very well
Efrieze (well done on the weight loss by the way, forgot yesterday) good idea re the Oct challenge.
bb
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
