in Credit cards
I have 3 credit cards that have outstanding balances on them. For the purposes of improving my credit score, would it be better to pay each one off in turn, or pay a little bit off each one at the same time? For example, instead of putting £250 on one card, would it be better to pay off £85 on each one if you understand what I mean?

I'm not an expert but I would probably pay more off one first so I could reduce the number of cards on my file. I would look at the balances and the interest first. If I had one with say £500 on and 2 more with significantly higher amounts, I would pay that off first. Or if the amounts were the same, I would look at the interest and pay off the highest interest first.
Could you balance transfer most or all of the debt onto a o% card?0 -
Thanks for your opinion, I'm leaning the same way myself and thinking to pay off each one in turn. As for the consolidation, I considered this too but it would mean opening a new credit card and that would look bad on my credit score.0

Pay the minimum payment plus £1 on two of the cards.
Pay as much as you can to the most expensive card.
Focus on saving interest, not credit score.0 -
Thanks, I think I'll do that!0

Credit score is meaningless.
What you want is to create a reliable credit history, with a use card - pay off in full equation.
If you are running balances then as PW suggests, pay most off the debt that has the highest interest rate. When that has a zero balance, repeat with the next highest rate card until all are at zero.
Also address the reason you have balances on all your credit cards?
