I'm an ex GB energy customer with about £200 in credit. I was transferred to Avro on 14th Nov. logged on GB energy website today. all my old bills are there upto 30th Oct but not a final Bill, I've had no communication from GB energy or Coop about a refund albeit ive sent them an email through the website.
The losing supplier has up to 6 weeks from the date of transfer to produce a final bill. Your meter readings have to go to a third party for validation before being passed back to the suppliers to open and close your account. With all the turmoil in GB, I doubt that final billing is the top priority. My electricity switched from GB today. I am not expecting a refund before Christmas. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I started a yearly fixed deal with GB on March 2016 and have received monthly bills throughout. I was happy with their service as and prices. It's a pity they folded and the employee's lost their jobs.0

....It's a pity they folded and the employee's lost their jobs.
They haven't lost their jobs.
All GB Energy Supply staff will continue their employment by transferring on the same terms to Co-operative Energy and the company’s contracts with its outsourced customer services and billing providers will continue unaffected.0 -

Who did you contact?
GB Energy Supply customers should contact the GB Energy Supply customer contact team as normal with any enquiries. They can be reached on 0800 644 4451. As GB Energy is a separate entity, Co-operative Energy staff are unable to respond to enquiries regarding GB Energy Supply accounts.
The way you contact GB Energy has not changed. We expect the GB Energy service teams to reopen in the next few days. They can be reached on: 0800 644 4451
We are likely to be handling a high volume of calls and we apologise for any inconvenience. We will move swiftly to increase resources to improve response times.0 -
....I've writen toGB energy, and to the Ombudsman and complained. I may not get far, but I intend to at least cost them, as much as the extra they will have cost me.
You won't get anywhere with the ombudsman at this point, and you contacting the ombudsman will not cost GB Energy anything.
But carry on if you like0 -

As I said, I'm bloody minded. But thank you ever so much for giving me your permission to carry on. I couldn't have done so without your say so. And for your information, I've already had a conversation with the Ombudsman.0 -

I also had a D/D payment taken from my bank account on Monday 28/11/16. I have now check my GB Energy account and it's not showing. I looked back at previous D/D going in and it normally takes 5 working days, I will check again on Monday 05/12/16, hopefully it will be showing.
I checked my account today and the payment is not showing. Phoned GB Energy they stated the credit will be added to my account but it may take 10 days or so I have no problem with that.0 -
I was a GB energy customer and was quoted less each month for what I was using so ended up with a big £350 debit with them. I have now had an email to say Co-operative are now taking over. Will the debit I have carry on to the new supplier?0
-
Why shouldn't it - you've used the energy and Co-op have taken over all the accounts and all the credits and debits that go with them.
So those who've overpaid, should get their credits and those who've underpaid will retain their debits. There's no reason to wipe out debitsNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
