Hi I've never posted on a forum before so bear with me I'm not massively sure how it works.Anyhow I was looking for some advice-i had my recent credit score from clear score and is says my score is down again even though I've cleared a few bills. But it also said that I have opened a new current account...that's it no details of with who or when-and I have NOT opened any new accounts.I tried looking for some way to contact them but couldn't find anything. So now I am worried that someone may have opened an account in my name but cannot find out any details.Any advice would be gratefully received-thanks.

Hi Zacca
Welcome to the forum. The score they give you is a just general guide but you’re right that it’s a good idea to look into this more to make sure everything is correct.
Clearscore use information held by the credit reference agency called Equifax. You can actually request a full statutory copy of your Equifax credit report for £2 through the Equifax website.
www.equifax.co.uk/Products/credit/statutory-report.html
There are 2 other credit reference agencies called Experian and Call Credit, and you should also check your credit reports held by them. You can request statutory reports from them in a similar way, and you can check the Call Credit information for free on www.noddle.co.uk

Dont focus on your score too much as only you can see it, the history is whats important.0

What type of bills?
Have they been sitting on your file for some time, with balances due?But it also said that I have opened a new current account...that's it no details of with who or when-and I have NOT opened any new accounts.
From the home page go to 'report' (at the top)
Once in that menu check out 'personal' and/or 'searches' tabs, this should give you more information to try and build a picture of what's happened.I tried looking for some way to contact them but couldn't find anything. So now I am worried that someone may have opened an account in my name but cannot find out any details.Any advice would be gratefully received-thanks.
To contact them go to the very top right hand corner, click on the icon to the right of your name - this will open a sub-menu, then click on help.
On the next page scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'contact us' and it will give you an online form to fill in to them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards.
