Which one do you recommend looking at please? This may solve my problem with Egypt soon.
But anyway, a Sim4Travel + Virgin Mobile (spare inclusive minutes) = free calls to family abroad.0 -
I am with Onetel & need to call a Sim4travel 07509 number in Israel. I can't find any reference to Channel Islands on the Onetel site so I presume that means it is classed as a call to a UK mobile. Am I right? Does anyone know of a cheaper way to call this mobile number?0

It's definitely still free to call 07509 numbers (from inclusive minutes) from Virgin Mobile phones. Though I guess all other mobile phone companies charge. From a landline you'll be looking at around 20p per minute I think. The important bit is that your friend or relative abroad doesn't pay roaming. After 5 weeks in Israel, my daughter's now in Egypt until Christmas (Sim4Travel seems to be working OK there now) and we continue to call her for next to nothing with a Virgin Mobile and Sim4Travel combination. I have just had a massive argument with somebody with T-Mobile over this and plan on taking them to the small claims court over this. The point is you tell somebody a number starting with "07", they instantly know it as a mobile number and T-Mobile say Mobile and Landline numbers in the UK are included in the minutes. People assume mobile is 07 and landline is 01 and 02. If it isn't, how on earth are people supposed to know what calling specific numbers costs.
I'll keep you posted.0 -

yes look under www.moneysavingexpert.com/callchecker and choose an overide uk mobile company and it works 6p a minute0 -
Not the point. It SHOULD be included in inclusive minutes. I'll be requesting copies of what it costs T-Mobile to terminate to these networks and then once I prove it is a similar amount, I can challenge them on why it isn't included in inclusive minutes.0

Have just checked by calling my Sim4travel phone from my Orange contract phone and have checked my Orange bill online about whether it came from bundled minutes and it did! So calling my son in Switzerland is 'free' sort of. Yay!
For info, I'm on a Dolphin contract with Orange.
Hope this helps.0 -
Perhaps it's also worth mentioning the recent change in Sim4travel's terms and condtions - 39 pence per day of actual use (call or outgoing sms), or £2 a month if it hasn't been used for 3 months or more0
