07509 mobile number -inclusive minutes

Just wondering if anyone can give me an idea of which network 07509 belongs to. It is a sim from https://www.sim4travel.co.uk that allows free EU roaming. I used to have one of the Lichtenstein numbers, but this 07509 sim has replaced it.

What I am considering doing when I am abroad is putting my o2 contract number on divert to the 07509 number. I have phoned o2 and asked if this prefix is included in my bundle and they guy could not give me a definitive answer.

Does anyone have an idea of which network this is using?

Thanks

I suspect this will be a Jersey or IOM number - why not call them and ask?!

  • If it is Jersey/Guernsey/IOM, then diverts to this numer may well be charged at international rates by your network - I'd definately advise checking first or setting a divert, making a few 2/3-mintue test calls then checking online billing

It is Jersey - other Jersey numbers are not from inclusive minutes on O2

You could use another call forward in between, maybe a Betamax VoIP brand like JustVoip
  • how would you do this
    and why?

Most cheap calls providers have the same charges for UK and Guernsey/Jersey/Isle of Man mobiles, starting at a few pence a minute, and this includes the ones I mentioned.

But the island mobiles rarely come from UK mobile network inclusive minutes

Those VoIP accounts can be set up to forward all calls, so with a UK landline number added to them, the UK contract mobile could be forwarded to that number, then the account sends the call on again to the destination, using contract inclusive minutes to the landline and paying a few pence in the VoIP account, cheaper than the 40p/min O2 would charge (on my tariff) for the direct route
  • Can anyone help? I bought a Sim4travel global sim. Had £20+ credit on it. Had a letter saying I need a new card with a new number because they had problems and they needed to re-issue. Have tried for 3 weeks to get them to send it. They say they can only email a request to customer services to call me to sort it out - have done this at least ten times - no call. They have had my money and I can't even get to speak to anyone. Any ideas?
  • Am having serious problems with Sim4Travel since changeover to 0044 number from previous Lichtenstein one. Managed to get a new SIM but no service.
My previous credit has been lost and neither the old or new the SIM will work any more. Sim4Travel has refused to answer/ acknowledge emails and just stonewall when called. Get different stories every time I ring them (landline)Have been promised a callback from a supervisor 5 times (nothing) and now apparently my problem has been "escalated "to Technical services but still no response- this has been going on for nearly 4 weeks. Although they are clearly in breach of contract and have admitted that other people too have lost credit and the ability to use the service, they are doing nothing to redress the problem or save face.

  • 075090 - 075095 are allocated to Jersey Telecom. 075096-075099 are reserved.
    Found on the Ofcom site.
  • 07509 numbers are included in Virgin Mobile's bundles. I've made short calls and checked. Customer services say they're OK too. Should be handy in Egypt next week... Calls from home in the UK to me will be free, hopefully (the family have hundreds of available minutes).

Last time I looked, SIM4Travel was £10 in CPW, and had £10 credit on it (i.e. "free" SIM). I'll post on here if I had problems.
