  • Just wondering if anyone can give me an idea of which network 07509 belongs to. It is a sim from www.sim4travel.co.uk that allows free EU roaming. I used to have one of the Lichtenstein numbers, but this 07509 sim has replaced it.

What I am considering doing when I am abroad is putting my o2 contract number on divert to the 07509 number. I have phoned o2 and asked if this prefix is included in my bundle and they guy could not give me a definitive answer.

Does anyone have an idea of which network this is using?

    Thanks

can somone confirm that 07509 numbers are included in inclusive minutes on all networks? is jersey telecom regarded as a uk mobile?

No, perhaps only on Virgin - see posts above

Nope - just checked with VM customer services - it is a 20p/min call and not included in the bundles. I made a call to my own 07509 number from my VM mobile and then checked and confirmed that my bundle minutes had not decreased and I will be charged 20p.

It's a T-mobile number in Jersey - which is not in the UK according to VM - has anyone told the people of Jersey of this fact :money:

I think the people of Jersey probably already know that there is not a T-mobile network there

I forgot to say - try this from O2 again, as it may be included on some contracts now, though possibly only for a promotional period

This isn't correct. I've got a 300 minutes per month bundle with Virgin Mobile, and an 8 minute call to a Sim4Travel yesterday came from the included minutes:

    15-Jul-08 21:49:43 0750904**** 00:08:57 To mobiles on other networks £0.00
  • Forgot to mention - this was to Israel. No extra cost involved for making the call, it was free to receive too. A good service - even without the inclusive minutes I reckon calls from a landline would only be around 10p per minute off-peak in any case. My daughter can use the phone for local Israel - Israel calls (calling a cab etc,) for 49p per minute, so no real need for an Israeli SIM while she's there for a month. You may want to check that there's no issues with the country you're going to - I know that there are problems using it in Egypt at the moment for instance but most other countries are fine.

Sim4travel isn't necessarily the cheapest option in Israel. Other global SIMs are as cheap as 8 or 9 pence a minute from there to UK and Israel landlines. Likewise for roaming in some other countries
