The 'correct prince's would be lower

Would that be William or Harry?:)
  • Explain the situation and offer them some cash to either dispose of it if they don't want it, or hide it until exchange of contracts if they want to keep it.

Surely this has to be worth at least few hundred quid for you.

I had a neighbours a while back with a similar issue around my choice of car. They bought me a very good quality cover for Christmas (must have cost circa £200). Hid the car and made it look like something much more expensive, solved their problem and we were both very happy.

There are courses one may go on to boost assertiveness. £200 on one of those might have proved an even better deal.

Then you could have held out for a better car, not a measly cover.

I'm still not clear whether this is a bit of garden furniture or not. One of my neighbours has a cheap plastic bistro table and chairs in the front garden. He's never used it and I'm pretty sure he put it there in the hope that someone would steal it. On the other side the neighbours have a garden sofa, coffee table and a wendy house. It doesn't look awful, no one minds, though personally I'd hate the idea of being 'on show' like that.
  • Our front garden is, quite frankly a mess, but I've neither the inclination or time to do anything about it at the mo.

Anyway the house opposite was on the market for ages and I joked to my mum that I was wondering if our garden was putting buyers off. The look she gave me said it all so I replied that if someone was going to judge me as a neighbour because of the state of my garden then that was their look out.

Wow! what a great story. Have you thought about going in for neighbour of the year?

    Hi

We are currently in the process of trying to sell our bungalow. The house is on a nice estate, however the neighbours (across the road) around a month a go put a 3 seater sofa near their front door! They used to have two wooden chairs there that they sat on when it was sunny, however now they have a big sofa and coffee table and it looks terrible! Is there some way to complain about this as I think it's putting people who view the house off? Surely it can't be allowed?

The neighbours thought it was a good idea to put a sofa out front...........I hate to burst your bubble, but nice???

They'll need to install a pond and fountain.

    I haven't ...perhaps I should.

I mean my front garden may not be great but we spend time clearing the (elderly) neighbours oaths when it snows and always call on them in said weather to do their shopping. As well as keeping an eye on them to make sure everything's ok.
    .
I'm quiet ...no loud parties & keep myself to myself.

But of course I'm a bad neighbour because my front garden's not in pristine condition

Elderly neighbours' oaths are just the worst. Presumably because they've been learning them for so much longer than younger folks.
