Amazon's Black Friday Deals thread (2016)

Unfortunately Amazons "deals" don't seem as good as previous years. They normally have lots of video games/books/dvds and I can only see a scattering.
I was also hoping for a cognac tasting set from Drinks by the Dram that I've bought every year for DH but no sign of it. Disappointing!0 -
The 'deals' are very poor this year. I have found the warehouse deals quite good however. Atm there's 20% off all warehouse deals supplied by Amazon and there are bargains to be had if you check regularly. I got Cloud nine original straighteners for £80 - rrp £139 and best offers I could find were £119. I also got an elemis set for £52 - other places were discounting it to £85-100. Check the descriptions - some are repackaged, some 'as new' and some have 'minor packaging damage. Makes a difference if you're giving as a present. It's best if you know what you want - means you don't have to trawl through loads of deals. For example, I checked 'elemis' on warehouse deals and it came up with 6 items. Oh, and sometimes there's only 1 of the item, sometimes more. The elemis set I got was the only one. They do add new things regularly though. HTH.0

Do you need a code for the extra 20% off, or is it automatic?
EDIT - just found the details, looks like it's automatic.

Works fine on my roku stick.0 -
Thought I would stop by, as it tradition. Doesn't feel like Black Friday without a visit here
I'm pretty underwhelmed too, missing all the lightening deals with timers. I knew what was coming up then. I agree it's a dogs dinner of stuff that seems to have been up for weeks now
Not doing well on other sites either, the TV I was looking at has been reduced only by a couple of pence, but had a black friday label slapped on it for that.
Most of the reduced laptops just can't good value for money too, really under powered CPUs for the rest of the spec.
Hoping things pick up, but skeptical at the moment!
Haven't seen a cat fountain or a 5 pack of garish socks yet eitherSo so SO tired of being ripped off, and mislead
Hope sharing saves some pain.0 -
I think it was better at amazon in last years blackfriday sales. not found much yet but will keep trying as I have my eye on a 4k tv but its no charger yet0

I so agree.
It used to be fun.
I would always find something to buy but not bought anything at all this year.0 -
Not brought anything, for the second year running.
I cant get my head around the Amazon lay out these days. Not very user friendly and off putting
They should change it back to how it was, with the lightening deals / timers on the opening page - was really easy to navigate then.
I gave up after a short while, couldn't see anything worth looking atThe opposite of what you know...is also true0 -

Yes it is awful!
Was much better before. Change for change sake I think.0
