This credit card - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/best-0-credit-cards#virgin30
Has a period of 30 months interest free period. But is this based on purchases made within 50 days only? So any purchases made after will be subject to interest charges?
Could someone please clarify?

OP, why would you think it's only for purchases made in the first 50 days?0 -
I've just clicked the link and read the mse blurb re the card.
I can't see any mention of "50 days" in the article.
OP, where have you got this idea from?0 -
Theres a line in the summary box PDF - https://uk.virginmoney.com/virgin/assets/pdf/VM17520.pdf
Sorry wont let me copy the paragraph so link to the single page pdf above.0 -
It's not 50 days. It's 60 days. 0% for 30 months on purchases made within the first 60 days from the date of account opening. It's quite clear.0

There seems to be an awful lot of confusion in this thread.
The 60 days relates to balance transfers and money transfers only, not purchases.
The 50 days relates to the max number of interest free days at the end of the 0% introductory period.0 -

This is your answer + balance transfers and money transfers attract a fee so don't do those.0 -
Probably the worst summary box I've ever seen and no wonder there is confusion. No information at all on purchases other than it's 0% for 30 months. Have do do some assuming and I assume it's 0% for purchases made from account opening for 30 months.
Yorkshire Boy is correct: The 60 days applies to balance transfers and money transfers.
Probably need to contact Virgin Money for further info.0 -
YB has it correct here.
You will get the 30 months at 0% on purchases.
When this offer finishes, the maximum days you will have before you charged interest on further purchases is 50 days. This depends when you make the purchase in the statement cycle.
Again, once the 30 month offer finishes, if you pay off your balance in full every month, you will not pay interest at all. This 50 days grace period only works if you don't carry a balance on the CC. This is standard with all credit cards. Some do up to 56 days but it's the same principle.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. Yes you are correct. I was confused by the * symbol which also appears in relation to purchases but when carefully read the note applies only to BT's and MT's as you rightly point out.0
