There are so many divisions in the world right now, let's just have one nice thread where we can all enjoy talking about tinsel and mince pies without things getting nasty.

Yes that is what I mean
When I said ''If people were so secure in their beliefs they would not feel the need to belittle others choices''.
I mean whatever they choose to believe, religious or believe nothing or believe science
Agreed tealover. I Like tinsel. mince pies though, ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww hahahaThe opposite of what you know...is also true0 -
Yeah to be honest I can't stand mince pies either! I didn't think they'd be contentious though :rotfl:.0

I see Christmas as a fun time and a time to try and put differences aside (peace on Earth and all that). With everything going on right now, we could certainly do with something like that!
Not particularly religious myself but have no problem with people that are - I'd rather live in a world where everybody is different (and interesting) than one where we were all the same (and boring).
My Christmas decorations will go up in December - it has come around so fast for me this year that I haven't even had time to think about Christmas yet!0 -
I had a mince pie for breakfast today. I start on the mince pies early but won't put any decorations up until about a week before Christmas. We've got a very boisterous kitten and I'm slightly apprehensive about how he's going to behave around the tree. He'll either pee on it or try to eat it.There are so many divisions in the world right now, let's just have one nice thread where we can all enjoy talking about tinsel and mince pies without things getting nasty.

He'll very probably act like this. My cat loved Christmas.

We will probably put ours up the week before Christmas. I have not yet started any Christmas shopping and am leaving it for last week in November and first week in December. I don't really want to wish the year away yet.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
