I've tried all the 'spray & leave' sprays.. I've tried drying doors with a towel after showering but the doors still look streaky/scummy. Can anyone help? Thanks0

I use a mixture of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. The smell quickly wears off and it works every time for me! Cheap and simple.0

This may be a daft question, i've read lots of threads that suggest white vinegar, why wouldn't ordinary vinegar do. Especially somewhere like a shower.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I'm another one who uses white vinegar; we have a shower screen that has five narrow acrylic panels that "concertina" out of the way when not in use, and they come up lovely. I also use white vinegar to clean the windows.
Sailor Sam I'm not sure why ordinary vinegar would be any different - never tried it on shower screen or windows. Maybe it'd leave a stronger smell, or possibly leave some colour behind, being brown? Dunno, guv. I use the old vinegar out of pickled onions for descaling the loo, (we have extremely hard water and limescale is a permanent battle) and it seems fine - no coloured deposits, and no smell afterwards. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
White vinegar is distilled I believe the brown vinegar isnt and also contains malt

Vinegar is a green cleaner staple, but, there’s probably some uses of vinegar you probably never thought of. I primarily use it in my multipurpose cleaner, to clean the toilet and to de-clog the drains. I thought I’d do some research and put together a more comprehensive list of all the things you can do with vinegar.
Vinegar’s acetic quality enables it to kill bacteria, mold and germs while being safe enough not to harm the body or the environment. Numerous studies show that straight 5% distilled vinegar, the most popular form of vinegar, kills 99 percent of bacteria, 82 percent of mold and 80 percent of germs.
In this post, we are focusing on the uses of vinegar as a cleaner. Note: plain white distilled vinegar is the best for the following uses mentioned below as cider or brown vinegar may have unwanted side effects (such as staining). No vinegar should be used on marble surfaces, in metal goblets or on unglazed pottery that might be decorated with leaded paint as it can leach into the liquid.0 -
I use a small amount of toilet limescale remover on a sponge (the kind you squirt down the toilet), wipe over the shower door then rinse after a few minutes - quick, easy and spotless!
I do keep meaning to buy a squeegie to keep on top of it too, as Saver0811 suggested, as I've heard good reports.0 -
I use viakal to get rid of the limescale deposits and use a squeegee every time I shower - door looks as good as new and we have very hard waterWe got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.
