Do you spray this on before or after you have a shower? I currently use (own-brand) spray on stuff after a shower to reduce the cleaning required?0

I've been looking for a cheap alternative to shower sprays for ages, as I live in a hard water area which ruins shower curtains in a few months. Might give this a go!'Never keep up with Joneses. Drag them down to your level. It's cheaper.' Quentin Crisp0

Freda,
I spray a fine mist over the glass after showering and it leaves it lovely and seems to help against soapy build up. Hope this helps.

I spent nearly a £10 buying products that said that would take the limescale on shower doors, when water is left to dry on them for a while. The solution: a bottle of 17p vinegar.
Amazing. I applied it with a scrubber. left it. put some more, within 5 hours the shower glass doors were immaculate.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives

It is even easier if you put white vinegar and some warm water mixed together in a spray container - squirt the shower and then leave for 15 mins then rinse off - you should not need to scrub as a microfibre cloth will be even easier."This site is addictive!"

Yep. I use vinegar for any de-scaling I need to do now:
kettle
steam iron
toilet
around the base of taps
and so on
Also, a little vinegar in the water when rinsing dishes, leaves everything sparkling.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
Do people use a solution, or neat vinegar? I'd like to use it, but OH complained so much the first time that the bathroom smelt like a fish & chip shop (he did have a point) that I've stopped using it. Did use Cillit Bang, but the fumes were so awful I decided not to buy any after the first bottle. Am now using Astonish Bathroom Spray, which is very good, and far less choking, but ideallly would prefer not to use anything chemical.0

Hi
Apologies if this has been posted somewhere before, but i want to make my own shower cleaner as "Mr Muscle Shower Shine" costs me a fortune. I've heard various ingredients mentioned such as diluted lemon juice, bicarbonate of soda, white vinegar etc, but what works best? And can i make bottles of the stuff in advance? i would just like to spray the stuff after a shower and then then rinse it just before i get in the shower again.
