Tesco Bank customers money disappeared & fraud messages

The last numbers I heard were approx 9000 accounts with money taken/vanished and 20000 odd with 'suspicious activity' whatever the definition of that currently is. Perhaps it ballooned further subsequently.
I've been comparatively fortunate in the past that any fraud issues have been entirely restricted to a couple of CC incidents (albeit large sums). On the basis of those easily resolved experiences I appreciate my expectations are probably higher than others, be they realistic or otherwise.
If you are promised a callback, then you should expect a callback, even if the timescale to receive that is appreciably longer due to extenuating circumstances. A smattering of texts and on-screen messages just weren't enough for me and I decided to make a decision on that basis.0 -
