It's designed to the benefit of the staff, not the users, like all state "services". From that point of view it's terrific. You can let old people starve to death or die of thirst in their thousands on the wards you oversee, and not only does nothing happen to you, you even get ghastly Labour creeps like Burnham demanding that the report on you be suppressed because it would be bad for staff morale.

The NHS is great for some people, that's clear.

You're quite happy to receive ghastly state services when they are providing a free welfare handout to you, however.

Looking forward to hearing about you handing back your winter fuel payment.

Rugged, is Momentum Central (or whatever Labour's HQ is now called) being a bit slow in answering the question of why it favours a triple lock when faced with members like you hating it so much?.

Conversely how are you coping with this dichotomy?
Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.

I can not stand by while people LIKE YOU think that British health care represents paradise to anyone living in most other European Country's.

Seems as if you are simply looking for an excuse to get angry. I never used the word paradise to describe the NHS. I will however say that running a healthcare service is very expensive. The fact that the UK offers a free service is something that I'm proud of.
As any EU visitor will tell you. "If you are taken ill while in Britain head for the airport"

I'm angry that you you don't even live in the UK and yet spout such nonsense. If you did you could become a Governor of an NHS trust. At least contribute positively to society rather sit where you are moaning.

    Depends on how you measure.

The Commonwealth Fund reckon it's the best in the world.

Mind you, before anyone gets too excited, that was largely because the NHS was cost-efficient and nice and 'involving patients' despite being the worst at actual patient outcomes. As in keeping people alive.

Let us ignore the fact that if Britain leaves the EU it might be more difficult for me to travel to the UK.
You can be certain that I will NOT return to Britain to use the NHS as I am part (I pay) of the Luxembourg Social security system and find there health care VERY GOOD.
As any EU visitor will tell you. "If you are taken ill while in Britain head for the airport"

The NHS is very inconsistent. You can have a great GP who has to refer you to an awful cardiology unit, and vice versa. European health care appears to be much better at being consistent.

Of course, I imagine boomers get their own wards with private rooms and special voting booths so they don't have to get up. So they doubtless have a different view.

This actually has nothing to do with the OP. Are you now relying on Jeremy Corbyn to sustain your handouts?

Yes, it does. It has everything to do with your OP.

Your OP was giddy with joy at the news that a Commons committee had said that the basic state pension triple lock should be scrapped. The Labour party have now committed themselves to retain the triple lock.

Who are you gonna vote for now? :)

I think Momentum has enough trouble attracting the support of the public as it is, without worrying about the likes of the Toxic One.
