I ordered the MSE blagged Three £9 per month deal with 8GB 12 month contract (minimum term).

The welcome letter is showing various monthly discounts to get from £23 to £9.

Is there a danger that these monthly discounts disappear at the end of the 12 month contract, or if I just stay on the package will the price stay the same (apart from RPI increases)?

I have had an 8Gb - £9 per month pay monthly deal with THREE for almost 18 months - after I threatened to leave them when my contract expired - they tried to charge me £14

    They are open to negotiations...

I have had an AYCE data for £10 a month deal with Three for around 18 months.

Perhaps they’re more open to negotiating than you think ;)

Do any sim providers allow you to pay up-front for a year rather than monthly billing?

I want to get as many recurring charges off my bank account as possible as I’ll be applying for a mortgage soon and it’s probably going to be a bit tight getting what I want.

I think you maybe ought to post the last part of your question on the 'Credit File' section of the forum.
I would have thought a mortgage company would think it good if you were paying your monthly phone bill on time every month ... wouldn't they?

Three often juggle with prices/offers, they usually show discounts and the “full price”. They have not increased at the end of the min term on contracts that I’ve had, but even if they do, you will be notified well in advance and can switch. Their famous “one plan” that started at £25, eventually being offered at £15, was scrapped with customers being told they would be automatically moved to a more expensive tariff at the end of their min term... now several years later a better package is £20/month!

Three often change their prices, currently their £20/month “unlimited everything” (inc unlimited tethering) 12 month min term SIM is back at £20 after briefly increasing to £22. Annoyingly they added an RPI increase for existing customers who were paying £20...

This is why we are lucky have vodafone onboard with the unlimited 5g deals imagine with three the only UK unlimited provider doing 5G.

Guaranteed will be doing the famous ONE PLAN removal again and asking users to pay more or leave.

As Lebara is PAYG I would hope there’s no credit check.

Googling them (and from what people have posted here in the past) would indicate they have absolutely awful customer service, so buyer beware.

So it's still available. It was £11 last year. We need to be on a main network to get WiFi dialling as we live in a Faraday cage of a house. Three's service works for calls and texts (essential for all those validation codes these days), and they have the best post Brexit roaming promise.

It looks like Three aren’t (yet) hiking prices for 5G access, they also currently have the most bandwidth available. All we need now is for some competitively priced 5G hand sets.

Considering the relatively low cost of mobile SIM only deals, compared to landline and fixed broadband, the market is getting very interesting as 5G coverage spreads.
