Advice re claiming refund on credit card interest

My partner took out a credit card that was offered to her in a high street store of a national company in 2002 and was offering a 0% offer.
Recently, whilst apply for a remortgage, it came to light and she admitted that it had been going to her parents address and that she hadn't known what to do. The sum was over £11,000 and she has been paying the minimum balance by getting cashback when she's gone shopping and then also do a cash advance on the card each month to meet the minimum payment.
Each month she has been paying about £220 interest plus getting a cash advance.
I've paid off the card and closed the account but I was after advice on whether there is any realistic chance of reclaiming what amounts to about £2,700 of interest per year for the last 14 years.
Any sensible & sympathetic advice is appreciated.
Thank you.

Under what grounds do you think a refund is justified?0

I'm unsure. I do recall, several years ago, getting some cold calls about reclaiming credit card interest where the credit card provider had increased the credit limit of the account?
Something to do with you having to agree to the new terms and credit limit.
Other than that, nothing other than, until it came to light, that she has paid about £30,000 in interest and cash advance fees against a debt of £11,000??0 -
Those calls were the usual advance fee fraud calls based on lies.0

It sounds like it was maybe a case of burying her head in the sand if she neither changed the address on the card or told you about it initially, which must have been quite difficult for her. Unfortunately this isn't a cause for a refund of charges if they have been correctly applied.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. I can only be unsympathetic. Sorry.0

I can only hope that there is no legal way for people to act like idiots and then claim ignorance.0
