No posted for a while but have been pitting away. Not much, the odd bit of silver every now and again.

Hopefully will increase a bit more after next weeks payday!
  • Good morning potters. Shiny £2 coin potted from my shopping change today. Have a lovely weekend all :)
  • Finally got some £2s, so another 3 went in the tin last night.

However, the local branch of our bank and the only one that will willingly accept bagged coins in large quantities over the counter, is being closed due to cuts so when the time comes next year I'll either have to lug the money to work and pay in in the city centre or drip-feed them into Santander. Still a nonsense that banks don't want you paying in loads of coin.

Thanks Dizzy Imp and Jakes-mum :) I don't feel so bad about going a bit crazy in there now - and I didn't know you could take unopened nappies back. That's great :D Luckily I've been getting lots of free nappies too - a work colleague had a baby 7 weeks before me, so as he's grown out of nappies I've had all her unopened/leftover (unused! :D ) nappies.

I went for a walk to the doctors and back today - silly me ran out of tablets this morning and had to go there to make an urgent repeat prescription request! It was lovely and sunny but SO COLD!:eek::eek: I'm sure any northerners on the thread will correct me though and tell me it's t-shirt weather ;) I don't think DD was too pleased with me for dragging her out in the cold :D I kept an eye out for roadkill sparkling in the sun but saw nothing! What is it with coins not escaping pockets these days? When I was last here for SPC6 I was always finding roadkill! :(

Alas, nothing potted again today but it was a NSD and I did save money by using my legs not petrol :D

Edit: Jakes-mum I don't know what to suggest for the in-grown toenail, I've had one for ages myself but keep forgetting to mention it whenever I go to the doctors :o I accidentally dropped a hammer on it earlier when I was chiselling ice out of my fridge, which is half ice berg, (but that's a whole different story :rotfl:), and WOW that hurt
