  • Good morning everyone.
I'm hoping I've got my days right and that it's Thursday. Otherwise I'm going to be a tad disappointed. Any ways, I'm potting £5 today. This is from selling my old I-phone 4s. I was about to throw it out (it was second
No hand when I got it and can barely hold a charge. But then I thought WTHll and did a run round the websites. Best offer I got was £31 from music magpie. All the sites had good and bad reviews so I went for it. Low and behold message back saying screen was "water logged" so now offer is down to £5. That screen was perfect! But since I'd been planning on dumping the phone, £5 is a good profit. The money hit the bank account yesterday, so into the pot it goes!
Not sure I would have even bothered without this challenge, so big thanks.

Running total in pot now £13.98
    Happy Thursday

  • I've not been shopping for a few days now, and when I do I always try not to spend coins that are less than £1, and I try to keep my £2 coins too.
Just did a count of potable coins in my purse and it's a measly £2.25 getting potted tonight!

FB was fine today Sue, no idea why it sometimes is and sometimes isn't though!! Not that I have done many steps :)

I like the new £5 note, because when I fold it up to put in the slot of my tin, I know that it is springing out again when its in there and will be all straight and neat next November when I open the tins :)

    £3 odd potted today.

The two I put in my tin and took out this month were not straight and neat. When I took them to the bank the advisor changed them to a £10 note to put in their new cash deposit machine as they were so crumpled.

I bought a second tin for my precious £2 coins :D This one is also a trolls tin as any other design seems to have become non existent  Christened said tin with 9 x £2 coins especially for my darling Sue who I know feels i'm not trying hard enough if I dont pot at least 2 a week :rotfl: Dear Uncle gave me another one to keep them company and then the psot office gave me one more so lots of £2 coins to start me off :D
I also found my first road kill of 20p :j :j sat right by our car when we came back from said shop of the pound (that doesnt seem to sell much at a £ anymore ) so obviously it knew I would give it a nice warm home :D

Oh no, that's not good. Perhaps I need a tin for plastic £5 and a tin for everything else. Then there would not be coins piling on top of the notes

  • Morning Peeps... :D

AntoMac....Thank you for those lovely words....Knowing my Family we may not laugh at the Funeral but probably will do at the gathering afterwards....He was a funny man sometimes....bless him...and I miss him dearly...

hummingbird...thank you for your lovely words...much appreciated...I'm so sorry that you lost your Dad....*Hugs* to you...

Sue....Thank you for my warm hugs...that's so lovely....The Funeral I know will be difficult but it's good to be able to celebrate his life...it was a long and mostly good one....And he should be proud that he had a Wife that he was married to for 62 years, 2 children, 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren...not to mention a loving brother and several nieces and nephews...He was very blessed and very loved and we were blessed to have him....

Now...I had some VERY good news on Wednesday...After Training for 7 years I have now become a fully-qualified Psychotherapist..!! :D:D:D There were definitely some tears and lots of happiness (tinged with sadness that Grandad couldn't see me graduate although I know he will see it from where he is, I truly believe that)....So I'm done...finally!! And very happy about it...

Now onto Money Saving...Today I am going to Pot just 30p...I'll get there....I'd rather start slow than Pot more than I can afford...And this Year I'm going to have a Holding Pot so that I don't Pot more than I can afford!!

*Hugs* to anyone that needs them and sorry about the long Post... xXx :)
