That is brilliant, thank you.So I can set up a direct debit paid to Saver-upper,as opposed to a real "company"/"utility" (I usually think of DD's as being paid to organisations, but doing it this way,the same £500 is transferred to account to account, and counts as a DD?)This is why people talk about using, say Tesco bank,to pay a DD to?So really you are paying it to yourself?(Tesco doesn't have a DD requirement,I don't think).

Sorry, not really trying to hog the board with off-topic stuff ,but it is my SPC money,so that counts as on-topic,yes?

Mines set up like that as have to have £500 hit it a month, dont know if it counts as a dd, we put the max in from the start and tsb classic plus HAS to be paperless, but they have just cut the rate anyway:( but same as every where , getting nothing for savings:(

Hi diluvsdiscounts (don't we all!), I've just seen your Total for SPC 9, you've done amazingly well with your potting!

You don't need a new No, the one you have on your signature is yours for keeps or unless you tell me differently. Have another wonderful year of saving and if we don't see you before (though it would be good if we did) we'll see you again on November 2nd 2017!!

A very Good Morning to all Potters, looks like a lovely day so I hope you're all able to make the most of it.
    Sue xx

2nd November is the opening date for 2017.

Anyone wishing to join us, it's NEVER too late, so please just ask, you'll be made very welcome.

    Ah thank you.
  • Potted around £9 this weekend as didn't want it sitting in my purse :) Hoping to continue on this way!

    Hi Sue,

My almost yearly post to say Hi and that I've declared on the previous thread. Good luck to everyone saving for 2017!

    EDIT:
Just spent twenty minutes or so flicking through the thread.

Sue - you've had so many kind words/thanks/hugs etc but this doesn't stop me from adding my voice to the many. I've been here a good few years now and although I no longer post very often THANKYOU SO MUCH for all your help, assistance and words of welcome and encouragement over the years. Best wishes to you and your family and I know there is no chance you'll actually disappear, just an opportunity to take a little step back and look after yourself :A

Thanks so much Sue for the welcome - unfortunately it's a temporary move but I'll be back in Ireland until New year, I'm so excited at the break anyways.

Just checked my little pot and I've €5 so far! Only €345 to go to my goal :)

NSD here for me, relaxing myself with baby MJ today. Vaccination this week, not looking forward to it but has to be done!
Money saving is going very well this year - we have enough for a house deposit :D However we will be continuing to save. It would be fabulous to be mortgage free but he's hoping to another year saving next year!

Sorry to hear it'll only be temporary, tatabubbly, any ideas where to from there or is it all up in there air?? I hope you had a smashing day with your little darling MJ yesterday...such a shame that vaccination's on it's way!! :( Thrilled to bits to hear you've enough for a house deposit, keep up the great saving and build it on up!!!!!

A very Good Morning to you Sealed Potters!! :D Here's hoping you had a really good weekend. Ready for the week ahead?? Maybe not but I hope everyone has a good one.
For all our members who have colds, viruses or are just not feeling good, here are some {{{{hugs}}}} and very best wishes for you to get well soon! :grinheart

You're off to a great start, Miss D M, keep hard at your potting and you'll be soooo happy!! :D

Hiya Caz! That was a wonderful picture you painted of Rosie playing in the frost .... exactly what our Jessie was doing, she loves it, especially sliding one side of her face then body across frosty grass and then rolling on her back, then off she goes again on the other side! She's not much of a runner and has never taken to running after a ball, you can almost see the speech bubble rising with "you must be joking!" Kids and dogs eh!! What a great find with the £1!!!! :j

    Hi All
Sue when do you all all the declarations up?, rather you than me, i dont have enough fingers and toes:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The decorations can go up just as soon as you're ready bubbs!!! Would you be willing to be the Fairy on the Tree?????!!!! :xmastree: We'll all give you a bunk up! :rotfl: Ooooops!!! Sorry you said declarations and there was me thinking you'd said decorations!

NB Potters: I will be putting on the GRAND TOTAL just as soon as the majority have got back to let me know, sadly we always get stragglers, but they've usually forgotten as they've things going on in their lives; yes, maybe I am making excuses for them, but..... However, HD & I keep a running Total which is looking fairly good at the moment, so here's hoping we'll at least do as well as last year.....hopefully! Very often I've been unable to put it on until January, but I can promise that I WON'T be waiting that long this year and HOPE to give it out before Christmas!! :xmassmile Fingers crossed!

I haven't a clue what you mean about the cycling, Saver-upper, and I certainly don't have the time to go looking for it, but beware that it's only the saving challenges which you can include in your SPC Total, anything which is regarded as sayings or investments can not be included!!
BTW, I do so hope your friends behave themselves when coming to your 'new' home - keep any off of that comfy settee!!! :rotfl:

You're doing brilliantly, swimminginaseaofdebt! I hope the meal was delicious!

Oooh excellent savings, mrs-moneypenny!! A great advantage of only needing a small shop! Good Morning to you too! :D

I'm sure they try teasing us Curly, never fully admitting that they too like to save but in a roundabout way. ;)

A more restful day eh Chutney, getting ready for the next time!

£4.57 potted today, change from food shopping. That's a 100th of what I'm aiming for total wise, so it could be possible.

Of course it's possible, Florence, you've just proved that with your last haul. Stay focused and you'll make it!

Don't worry Antomac, I could never recall when I last had a gold star, a little bit longer than you though.....maybe!:rotfl: PS. I'm still having problems getting members Targets on the first page, but won't give up for certain. It's a problem with MSE but I think I've a way in getting there.;) I'll put a message on just as soon as it's ok. Well done to your DD! Whatever she pots is going to stay with her when she's older! You're a wise Dad!

Very well done, mumof3plusoh, in fact I'm proud of you! :T Stay strong.

WOW!! That's amazing potting Thora!!!!! Still, if you'd taken it to spend and not done then....why wouldn't you save it instead!!!:j

    It's a pleasure di!! ;)

You're another SPCer doing brilliantly, Littlefrugalcottage!!!! Keep it up whenever you're able! :D

Heeeeelllllooooooo at last, Observer!!!!! :j ....and there was I thinking you'd left us...:( Ah, it's so good to see you on your fleeting visit, better than not at all!!! ;) See you over on SPC 9 to see what you've saved

Have a super Monday, SPCers. Keep your pots well fed!!! :D
