Could I join you in this challenge?

This will be my first time joining a challenge and I already have a pot. I have no idea what kind of £ value of target I should aim for, but my pot is kinda transparent, so think I might go for attempting to fill it up?

I emptied out my saving jars today came to a whopping £56.
So I'd like my goal to be £100

I have some shrapnel to put into my jar but I haven't counted it yet.

Gold stars for: A gold star is yours Helen after that really lovely welcome! :staradmin Many thanks! A gold star for you also, Antomac :staradmin, for following Helen with another great welcome! Thank you kindly. Then yet another gold star for you too, mrs-moneypenny :staradmin with the lovely welcome to Thora!! We're blessed with such fantastic members here on SPC, thank goodness!!! :D

    A very good night all SPCers. I hope Saturday's been kind to you all. To members who are poorly with the colds and viruses going around, all those of you down on your luck in any way, take great care and get well soon. For now have these special {{{{hugs}}}}

Yes, early days indeed, Antomac, much patience is rewarded in time...and it'll be so worth it! ;)

Not great times for you at the moment, TheCatandDogsMother, but "when one door closes another opens" is going to be the case, but it maybe an even better one for you so keep an open mind. Good earnings and savings so well done!

Your post was really lovely to read, hummingbird, very positive, keep in that frame of mind. Well done with the roadkill, and remember that only small amounts are still savings!! Re your latest post....that's fantastic! Good roadkill too!! Good to hear you're pleased with the way today has gone.

An excellent way of viewing your endTotal, Onmyway2!!

Marvellous savings already made as well!!

You're welcome Littlefrugalcottage, it's so good to hear the excitement you have. Be happy and proud with all you save!! Have a wonderful day shopping with your sisters!

    Good saving Dragon Lily.

You're very kind and thoughtful to your friend, MrsShazbat, though I expect you're quite right with the fact that she'd have done exactly the same for you. I thought, naively I suppose, that all women like her would have received reconstructive surgery, bet a fellar thought that up!! No offence guys! I sincerely hope all will be well for her soon.

That's great potting swimminginaseaofdebt!!! 5p roadkill too??!! I thought there was some time to go until Christmas!!!! Aha! I see in your latest post you've saved another £5!! :j

Excellent planning ahead, Sammy, not only does it give you a rough idea of what you'll save, you'll also still get the element of surprise with all the cash you're putting in, great thinking!! :j

Heelloooo again, tatabubbly!!!!! :hello: It's just wonderful to see you back and know you're staying with us even though you're moving!! I thought perhaps you'd already moved and maybe it mightn't be so easy to see us. However, I'm delighted to hear you're so thrilled about moving back to Ireland and wish you and your DH well back HOME!! Do come and see us more often once you've settled in, please!! Thanks very much indeed for the lovely words for myself and my DD, I dearly hope 2017 is a better one as things are pretty awful at the moment.

Great saving Mandz! Onward you go and look forward to that lovely surprise you'll have next November!!

Good work Chutney, with the 5p roadkill too!!

Hiya bubbs and the same wishes for you as well!

Last of the big savers eh, jakes-mum, quite a change for you. Isn't that tinkle such a lovely sound!! BTW, I'll be with you later, it's been very hectic here.

Don't worry Dizzy Imp, slowly but surely you're getting there. I know it's not easy for you but do the best you're able to do! :kisses3:

Hi Lynne! Great going with your regular £10er! You have a lovely weekend too.

Flipping heck 32b3, that's one heck of a long day, hopefully you can have a restful one today! Good potting is some small constellation I hope. Sounds as though Christmas shopping's going well for you. A shame about the tin but I think you're wise with what you're doing - savings also! Time to have a lovely weekend. Good savings btw. :D

That's an excellent beginning you've made, ETO, let's hope you can continue in that vein.

    Helen
, it's understandable that even during our darkest hours, if we search hard enough there are usually good things to help us look ahead and stay focused! The most important thing you've learned this last few years is that you CAN stay positive!! Well done with the 55p saved!! :grinheart

£15 in the pot after shopping yesterday!! Plus 5p roadkill in my lost souls pot! I've kept that going for around 5 years and keep saying I'll empty it but never do, I'll give it some thought...one day!

You've done amazingly already, swimminginaseaofdebt!! Keep that up and you'll be besides yourself with joy next November!!!

    Very well done, Florence!…

    ….You to Westie!!

Are you positive about not allowing anything less than 5ps in your pot, Louby? That's perfectly ok if you get a fair amount of silver, but if you struggle then beware! Jakes-mum is no longer including 2s and 1s but then she will make sure she swaps hers, usually she swaps 2p for 20p!!! Mmmm food for thought. :D

    A great beginning muppets!!

Let's hope it's a lovely Sunday for all, SPCers. Save well!!! :D

Hi diluvsdiscounts (don't we all!), I've just seen your Total for SPC 9, you've done amazingly well with your potting!

You don't need a new No, the one you have on your signature is yours for keeps or unless you tell me differently. Have another wonderful year of saving and if we don't see you before (though it would be good if we did) we'll see you again on November 2nd 2017!!

A very Good Morning to all Potters, looks like a lovely day so I hope you're all able to make the most of it.

  • Thanks so much Sue for the welcome - unfortunately it's a temporary move but I'll be back in Ireland until New year, I'm so excited at the break anyways.

Just checked my little pot and I've €5 so far! Only €345 to go to my goal :)

NSD here for me, relaxing myself with baby MJ today. Vaccination this week, not looking forward to it but has to be done!
Money saving is going very well this year - we have enough for a house deposit :D However we will be continuing to save. It would be fabulous to be mortgage free but he's hoping to another year saving next year!

  • Good morning everyone
Thank you for the warm welcome and for my new, shiny number.
I've christened my pot with the grand sum of £7.98. Can't quite believe those tiny coins added up to over £5!
I'm off to search the flat for more hidden coins!
    Take care

  • Hi all,
I'm still hurling stray coins into my pot as its as much a habit now as that first cup of tea in the morning! Rosie and I had a lovely walkies this morning as it was frosty...she dashes round doing loopy zoomies whilst I stand and watch lol.
Walking back to the car I spied a glint in the leaves, and it was a pound coin!!! First one I've found as its usually 1p and 2p. Potted on our return home.
Continue to feed your pots everyone,

56p in the tin this evening - that's from emptying my purse after a lovely trip to Birmingham today. I bought 3 lovely hummingbird decorations for the tree, and a little black dress that had 40% off in Gap.

Could probably have potted more but am happy with my purchases ( and a nice lunch out too!:p)

How lovely to find Hummingbird tree decorations, Keep your eye out for a woodpecker please, thats my brownie name..

Hope your keeping okay as you can be,

    much love,
