Can I join? I think I have a couple of Percy Pig piggy banks somewhere, where I am unsure (after a year of being in our new house we still don't know where anything is lol!).
I don't think I will be getting the amazing amounts of money that people here are but I will be making an effort to save at least something every week, starting from todayDo I need to count as I go or can I just put money in and forget about it????
Thanks, Nessy x

Right.I had a play with my tins this morning:
Smiley-face tin is going to be for £2 coins, monster tin will be for £1 coins, and pig tin will eat the rest.So the money I have been putting in a holding tin since the beginning of this challenge has now been transferred to respective tins.
While I was tidying up before going to work this morning,I found a £2 coin,so also potted that.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Evening,
Yep Sue, it's the new tin. I'll just bend the slot slightly so it's a bit wider. I don't want to open it so can't take it back.
I got another new fiver today so total of £8.81 Potted
I'm going Christmas shopping with my friends tomorrow. I've finished mine, except for the two from Fenwicks on F&F day, so tomorrow should be a cheapish day.
I hope everyone is well

Littlefrugalcottage Don't worry about not being able to achieve large amounts of cash like some members do - I can't either!!!!! Read my 1st post on page 1 and your questions will all be answered!!
Many thanks for the ideal welcome, mummytummy, another gold star is yours. :staradmin
Good evening all Potters, very nearly good night (!!), I hope the day's been kind to you, the evening too. To members who are poorly with the colds and viruses going around, all those of you down on your luck in any way, take great care and get well soon. For now have these {{{{hugs}}}}
So, well into another year's saving, Chutney, do as well as you did on 9 and again you'll have much to be proud of!
Re your last paragraph, Pinkwhisk, thoughts of roughly how much you'll have saved this time next year is enough to spur on the poorest of savers! I think putting your cash all in the same pot may be even more exciting than in separate pots, who knows, but I'm sure you'll be thrilled whatever!!
Westie, 4 or 5 years ago I managed to get books online where, in each book you could give the child's name so that he/she played the star role! They were marvellous.
You crafty devil, Vicky! Tell me...is he aware of just how much you saved during SPC 9?!! I'm only interested to know because of what Saver-upper was talking about earlier; she keeps hers a secret!!!! Ssssh! :shhh:
Thanks for the explanation, Florence, I see your point about the Spice Girls one but....getting others that are ugly so you breaking into them!! I admire your way of thinking.....I think! :undecided
You've done well, Mandz, safely having held in the holding pot until you were sure enough to fully pot it!!
Give the ideas some thought, MrsShazbat, and see how you feel. Did you try other banks?
An excellent idea, Frogletina! I'd be more than happy for anyone to use the same method if they're having problems with the banks. It used to be relatively easy, but.....!!
Good thinking, Saver-upper! Well done with your latest find, a good one too.....for services rendered perhaps!! :rotfl: Sorry but couldn;t resist!
Very well done, hummingbird, it gets surprisingly heavy quite quickly.... as long as you keep filling it of course!!
Little acorns indeed, frenchplonka, brilliant saving!!!
Hi skilly and very well done!
I'm really happy for you, indigowarrior!! It'll feel like ages now until the money is yours but well worth the wait!!;)
You're getting yourself sorted well then, 12 month challenge, good work with the cash saved too. Just read your reply to Saver-upper, a perfect way to be saving and could never knock it!!!
Ooooh, you lucky girl, swimminginaseaofdebt, DH & I absolutely love it in the Highlands; Lynne lives in the lower part too, no idea how she'd manage up there! Still saving and saving well, superb!!
Hi again, Sue-UU! Just noticed, when I asked to join again you originally said to keep my number (093). However, when reading through the list in post no. 3, I saw that 093 has been allocated to 'muppet'. I don't mind at all if you need to change my number? Just thought I'd let you know.
Don't worry about your No cdm. Apologies, I saw your No on your siggy and thought it was still yours, but no, it's not. Try 4
Well potted, NeedToBeDebtFree, I certainly hope you'll have a very restful weekend, it sounds as though you really need it.
Sounds as though your DH gets his conscience pricked every now and then, Purplemumof2, I wonder what might happen if it were to be injected!!!! :rotfl:
Well done Curly! Keep it up...as if YOU need telling!
Have a lovely Friday, folks. Keep saving!!!Sue xx2nd November is the opening date for 2017.

I managed to pot $25 in $5 notes that I had saved plus a $10 note I got from selling the vacuum, everything as to fit in the car for moving haha. Plus I need to make sure that cat and dog are comfy so all the large heavy stuff has gone. Also potted lots of coins this week, but didn't keep count.Number 4950

I only had 7p in my purse this evening, so that went in the the tin, along with a 10p I remembered I'd found as roadkill and had left in my coat pocket. So 17p total - better than nothing and it will all add up.
In the past I've always wanted to separate coins out and also to keep track of how much I'm saving. This is the first time I've thrown everything in together and not got a clue of the total. I'm actually enjoying it much more that way!:D£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

Happy Friday everyone
Could I join you in this challenge?
This will be my first time joining a challenge and I already have a pot. I have no idea what kind of £ value of target I should aim for, but my pot is kinda transparent, so think I might go for attempting to fill it up?
Happy Friday to you all

Welcome to our lovely Group....You'll find it's very friendly here!! Our illustrious Leader Sue will be along soon to give you your very own personal Number...yours to keep forever and forever...And please do let us know how you're getting on....
I think it's perfect just to aim to fill up your Pot to begin with...and then see where you get to....Don't worry about having a particular monetary aim, after all anything you save is more than you would have saved if you had not saved it...does that make sense? LoL
Anyway...It's wonderful to have you here...Please do ask if you have any questions...We're all a friendly bunch of people that love all our wonderful Members... xXx0
