    Hello, my fellow potting lovelies!

Well, it's delightful news from the finance department in Cazzie land this very fine day! I sent a query to my Payroll department regarding my pay as I was due half pay from June onwards, and by my calculations based on my usual take-home pay I thought I had been overpaid about £200. But today they called me and said no, Cazzie, it's all yours! And in fact we owe you more because we didn't give you the performance related incremental raise you were due in November so hopefully you will receive the arrears in your August pay! Well, thank you very much, Payroll, say more things like that! So the £200 I set aside ready to pay back before the Fraud Police came knocking is now all mine and will pay for a whole 5 extra sessions of counselling to hopefully help me get back to work and back to my regular lovely level of pay (well, as lovely as it gets in the NHS...)! Happy days :)

I met a friend for dinner last night and thanks to my Tastecard the whole thing cost less than £15. I had to borrow from my unsealed pot as I have £2.74 in my account until payday tomorrow, and was determined never to use my credit card on such occasions, so I did have to part with a couple of fivers but I did get a lovely shiny new £1 to console me which went straight into the unsealed pot when I got home. And now I know I'm better off than I thought, ALL of my unsealed pot money can be transferred to my sealed pot and live happily with the rest of my pot money until 2nd November! Will report in how much this is tonight as have also nabbed a few fivers for SW but it should be a good £50 or so.

I am positively LOVING all this talk of holidays! I have fond memories of trips to America and I too find it very odd what you can pick up in your weekly shop! I'm quite glad I live in a land which is less Walmart and more Asda though! I'm so excited for all of you with upcoming trips.

And huge congratulations Hickles on your impending new arrival! A pot baby, yay!!! :D

Right, back to my competitioning! 3forholidays, congratulations on your win, it's given me a push to work harder! I've recently won some sort of champagne cooler set thingy which I'm hoping to sell online when it arrives but will see what it actually turns out to be!

Love and luck and high fives and sunshine to every single one of you and yours :) xxx

PS - It's weigh-in night tonight which I don't have high hopes for despite being 100% on plan as my increased meds this week have been playing havoc with my body but at least I know I've stuck to it. I will be happy with a maintain on this occasion but if I gain I do fear I'll be going home via the chippy!!! Good luck to my fellow slimmers! :)

Thanks bubbs! Well done on maintaining although I completely understand how utterly frustrating it is when you've been on plan and deserve to lose! But a maintain is not a gain! Hope you have a good week coming. I am going to try and step up my daily steps (need to be hitting at least 10,000 a day, was a bit lazy this week) and drink more water (well, squash, don't know anyone that can actually drink plain old boring water!) :) xxx

    Good morning, beautiful potters!

    How are we all?

Pay day came a day early for Cazzie as tomorrow is the weekend and I got the same amount as last month so I've already tucked that spare £200 away as I know I can live without it! I've also got my mitts on a lovely £2 coin thanks to a swapsie with Mumma, so I've already restarted the unsealed pot for the month! AND I've popped £1 into my LISA!

After all that moving money around, I'm off out for a walk to rack up some steps and hopefully get a bit closer to my 1 stone award!

Have happy Fridays and happy weekends, and keeeeeeeeep potting! :) xxx

Hi, please could I join this challenge?
I leave my nice steady job in September to become a trainee teacher. I'm super excited, and know I have enough student finance to get by on - but I haven't budgeted anything for Christmas!!
I have a copper jar already (I have no idea how much is in there) and plan on putting anything left from my £20 self-given allowance each week into another pot.

A very warm welcome to you DancingUnicorn. :grinheartIt's lovely to have you with us. :grinheart Have fun saving and enjoying the banter. You'll find your number (above) at the bottom of the list on the 2nd post of page 1. Please read through post 1as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 2nd Nov.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your number on your sig, it really helps.

Thanks for the great welcome to DancingUnicorn, Cazzie, here's a very well deserved gold star for you. :staradmin

Hi SPCer folks! So terribly sorry to have kept you all waiting for so very long before I could make an appearance but there's been an awful lot going on here one way or the other with health problems! So many thanks to you all for keeping the thread running so well. I'm responding briefly now as.... the whole family are going on holiday tomorrow!!!!!!!! :j

To all those members feeling poorly or who are low in spirits in any way, I do hope you all get well very very soon. Very best wishes and {{{{hugs}}}} to you all. :grinheart

Thanks for backing up those dreadful thoughts about the awful plastic £10 notes coming to fruit fruition, Westie, I really can't wait!!! :( Moving swiftly on the mat wasn't that Johnny Peacock win absolutely brilliant, all the others too, great ambassadors and disabilities for sport for sure! :D

Not to worry about which way your money goes, TheCatsandDogsMother, we can't always put it in the direction we'd prefer. You know where it is best positioned right now…so that's the best thing to do! :T

That's not bad at all, moneymanager, but don't forget that ALL Christmas Savings can be included with your SPC declaration in November.

it's great to hear you have a wonderful holiday, MrsShazbat, and that you've a very healthy Quidco balance to make you smile!

lovely to hear that you too had a lovely time away 32b3! It's good to hear you didn't let the rain stop you, they don't forecast the best of weeks next week when we're away but we can't do anything about it so best to go prepared with a smile and determination to make the best of it all! Well done with those great savings!! :D

Oooh your lucky DS, jakes-mum, I would have loved to have had a go at diving, water skiing too, not that it would have been safe for me but...! ;)

Well done with the build up of the $s!

You're excited at the prospect of plastic £10ers, Cazzie...what can I say!!!!! Don't expect too much of a weight loss each week, so long as you make sure you're doing everything right and not eating things you shouldn't be then you'll get there! BTW. Congratulations on not having to give back the £200!!!!! :j Also congratulations on yet another 1Lb weight loss!!!!! :T

Brilliant weight loss Bubbs!!!! :D I know it's the first time but it's still one heck of a loss and enough to be able to feel the difference from I'd imagine. Keep up the amazing work and...don't ever go back to old habits!!

Very well potted on each occasion Chutney!! :D

Ohh £38 saved then, Saver-upper, marvellous work!!! :D

I hope all's well for you now Lynne. Fantastic savings BTW!!! :dance:I guess you were able to enjoy the tennis without problems!

Well spotted mossy... well potted too!!!! :DHave a wonderful time on holiday in Orlando next month!!

At least you're still saving Florence so be happy!

Excellent savings 3forholidays, I couldn't be more thrilled for you!!!!! :j That amount... plus more savings between now and November is a fantastic sum that will help you so very, very much indeed!!!! PS Congratulations on such a marvellous win!!!!! :T Yes, of course you can pot it!! :DI'm so thrilled for you!!!!!

Aha Hicksy! So you're 19 weeks pregnant then! Wonderful news, congratulations to you both!!!! :T I'm so delighted for you, for your little darling too, what does he think about a forthcoming brother or sister? BTW you're forgiven re the £1 coins.

Don't worry mrs-moneypenny, that's perfectly ok for you do have dipped in for 2K after all, you've been saving for your new kitchen anyway and that's all part of your fund! :j Brilliant savings and don't forget to add the amount to your siggy!!!!

Well done you too Antomac!! :D It sounds as though things have picked up for you or you're trying that much harder! Either way great news!!

The potting might be slow, DancingUnicorn, BUT you're saving which is so important!!! :D Be happy however much you're able to save!

Hello there Pmo2!! :hello:It's great to hear you're still potting well, though with you I'd have expected nothing less!! Don't forget to pop by again soon!

A whole £30 potted over the last two weeks. Right, I'm off on holiday in the morning and will see you in little over a week! :j Keep very safe and healthy!

Enjoy a lovely WEEKEND, SPCers. :j Keep filling your pots!!! :D
