Sorry I haven't been in for a while
I hope everyone is well
I broke into my overtime account last week and took £2k out as we are having a new boiler fitted this week. I hope that's allowed
Still putting in my sealed pot but it's random amounts that will hopefully add up to a nice surprise coming opening time.SPC~12 ot 124

Great to see the recent increase in the number of posts on this thread.
mrs-moneypenny, well done on having that sort of money saved in your overtime account.

Ha ha! yes on a few vlogs i've watched they've been happily browsing the aisles of milk, sweets, a bit of fruit, round a corner and BAM! an aisle full of car tyres! because obviously, these are things that people need to buy in their weekly shop . . 'bread, milk, orange juice, gun and tyres! im done!!' I am soooo going to be on the look out for someone pushing their trolley with a gun and some tyres sticking out the end! If I don't see this, i am going to be most disappointed! :rotfl:
Oooo I am a bit of a fan of Target since my Aussie trip (still have fond memories of being bundled in the car by DH's nan and aunt at 11pm because they had one of their mad moments and decided we had to go on a $1 bargain hunt :rotfl: I shall have to make them both proud and find at least one $1 bargain in the American equivalent! Must find out where one is near our villa!
Yes tyres and guns...what everyone needs when they are doing their food shop!! One year when we went to see friends in Texas, we went to Walmart and DH had literally just got back from Uganda a couple of days before we flew to the States...he had a melt down when we got to the ice cream aisle....I think there was something crazy like 20 different flavours of vanilla ice-cream alone which was a bit of a culture shock after being surrounded by people who had so little.
Anyway...I am a huge fan of the $1 section in Target...it is epic and my favourite bit and I dread to think how much I've spent in there over the years!!!I have to say though that the Super Target we went to in Florida wasn't a patch on the 'local' Target that we go to when we're in Texas...so if you find a duff Target try another one and see if their $1 section is better.
Anyway, in potting news I've got 1 whole penny to pot! Definitely won't be counting much this year but anything is better than nothing.
Happy potting peeps.Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
Good Morning All
Just popping by to say hi as I usually do.... My pot is very nearly full and my DS is very upset that he can't lift... Not for long though as he can tip and roll (it's now full of dents).
I may have to empty early as I have (rather stupidly) been putting £1 coins in since last November. Sorry sue-uu .
I also suspect my, nearly,Christmas baby will be weighing my down somewhat come November. A lovely surprise - went for my 12 week scan and I'm 17 weeks..... (that was 2 weeks ago). Oopsy.
Hope someone is having a sunny Monday somewheremrs-moneypenny wrote: »Sorry I haven't been in for a while

I have never found a Target in NYC, but I did order some of the Victoria Beckham for Target stuff when it was released earlier this year. I forgot it would be in USA sizes though, so it was all a bit unfortunate and I have a few items in my wardrobe that I need to grow into!!
Congratulations Hickles. Another baby
I haven't got any change, but I would have potted it if I had
I hope everyone is well.

I enter a few competitions on the comps board and I got a lovely surprise today.
A £100 cheque
Can I include this in my pot total as the cheque will be getting deposited in my savings account?A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

I potted 40p and some coppers last night emptying my purse of anything below full pounds.
This morning I open my purse and I've found another 15p in my purse despite just emptying it so I potted that too.
It's definitely a slow and steady process for me but even £10 potted will be better than nothing!LBM: October 2016: £20,130 / Current: May 2019: £12,576 37.53%DFD: [STRIKE]February 2024[/STRIKE] April 2022?0 -
Morning pottersssssssssssssssss
What a grumpy looking sky today! where has the sun gone??
Ahh 32b3! if I see someone with a gun and tyres in their trolley i'll be asking them to pose with me for a selfie! :rotfl: 'excuse me sir, but im from the UK and well . . . we don't have guns, nor do we buy tyres at the supermarket so would you mind terribly if I selfied with you to prove to my English friends that you really DO have guns and tyres on the shelf at ASDA? . . ASDA mate! ASDA!! its what we call Walmart back home . . no I have no idea why its not Walmart, probably the same reason that snickers called their chocolate Marathon in the UK when it first came out . . . no, im not taking the mickey . . . seriously, marathon!' poor bloke wont know whats hit him :rotfl:
Well having checked my purse today I notice that I have 2 shiny new £1 coins from the 'we really need to buy cheap ponchos from the £1 shop for disney' run I randomly decided we had to do yesterday, well you just know if I left it to the last minute they'd run out and i'd be paying a £5er each from the walking shop!
I now need to go and sit and do the countdown to 12 o clock when its officially Disney fastpass time!!!  :eek:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000
