Morning Pottersssssssssssss
I used to have premium bonds Cazzie but unfortunately I didn't seem to have my grandparents luck with them and cashed them in to put the money in a savings account instead.
I have finally finished the cardigan :j :j and im quite chuffed with it, I will try and upload a picture in a minute so you can see what it looks likeThe mother decided she was going to go to London for the day though so I haven't been able to give it to her.
In potting news, DH went to the pub to have a 'couple of cokes', 3 pints and a few shorts later he wandered home and handed me 2 x £2 coins and a load of silver for the tin :rotfl:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

Welcome back Frogletina! :hello: So pleased to hear you at least had a wonderful holiday with amazing boat trips and...bumps in the night... even while receiving the updates of all the problems at home!
What troubles the girls have endured with your poor ex, and it sounds as though some folk at the hospital are almost as confused as your ex! I realise it can't be easy for them especially when they need the beds for folk with medical problems but it's a real dilemma for you all as well as any carers! With all you're going through it really makes me wonder what's going to happen long term as the dementia ward of Yeovil hospital is closing next month!!!!! Can you believe that when there are so many Alzheimer's and dementia sufferers nationwide!!!!! Cherish the memories made in Turkey and here's all best wishes for you all in the time ahead. {{{{Hugs}}}} from us all. We're hear if ever you need to unload.
Hi Sue, thank you for your support.
On Wednesday my ex was discharged and I was at his house when he arrived by ambulance. He was glad to be home and in the afternoon his support worker arrived who was very nice and he had his first carer arrive that evening.
Since then, he's had a scan which had to be abandoned as he wouldn't co-operate, one of his cats has died (the day after being brought home from a cattery) and he has spent most of his time in bed. The carers are doing their best to ensure he eats and drinks but he is not very co-operative. I've been their twice, DD2 three times, DD1 once and is due to go there again today.
His support worker went again on Friday and will visit again on Monday. He has lost a lot of weight and is looking so frail. He insisted he needed his bank book to get money out to buy cat food (he has money in the house and plenty of cat food), but on Thursday he hadn't even got up to feed the cats. I worry about him going out to the bank or the shops, but so far he hasn't attempted either.
I have just a little potting news to tell. Due to giving myself a smaller budget for housekeeping, there is little left to pot. However, because I've spent less overall I am already budgeted up to October this year from my income. Once I have budgeted to January (I try to ensure I am one month ahead), the rest of my income till the end of the year can be potted (virtually, as I don't want to withdraw a month's income from the bank at a time) but I will still be potting smaller amounts as usual - £21 last month.
I create budgets at the beginning of each year - I fully funded my holiday budget from my savings. I am reducing my long term savings as my income covers my needs, and after throwing money at long term savings when I was working I am now at the age to use them.

Frogletina, sorry to hear you are having tough times with your ex. You are clearly doing your absolute best for him so be proud of that. Well done with your potting and general budgeting. You're a lot more organised than me!
jakes-mum, I know my sister would absolutely love your cardigan AND the mannequin. I'm impressed that you managed to post a picture. More than I can do. I need to work out how to do it.
Well done Miss D Meanour on your windfall. It certainly gives your total a boost.
Cazzie. It's good that you are still having some better days. I find it so strange how our moods can change so much in a short period of time. One day I feel like the King of the World and a few days later I don't want to leave the house.
Thanks all for your good wishes after my fall. I've ached in all sorts of places - hands, knee, hip, shoulder, kitchen, Living Room. Now it's just my left knee which has a nice yellow bruise so I feel like I'm on the mend.
By the way Sue, Ringwood's never been the same since the Copper Kettle camping site disappeared. Nice new Lidl there now though.
Potted a tenner today after avoiding some unnecessary extra spending.

Ahh glad you are on the mend Antomac! what a nasty fall
Ahh thank you, my mum came over yesterday as i'd refused to tell her what I wanted to show her (love to wind her up, as I know it would have been bugging her all day :rotfl: ) showed her and she said 'oh thats nice, whats that for then?' and i'm like 'its for you, you daft bint!' and she went from puzzled *why have I had to rush over here, could have seen it tomorrow morning* to 'ohh! ohh! this is lovely!' :rotfl: think I caught her off guard a bit as usually when I want to surprise her and its not her birthday etc, I get her flowers and i'd hidden it so she wouldn't realise I was making it(and I do love our Doris the mannequin, she's very helpful even if she is constantly in the way because we have nowhere to put her :rotfl: )
Am off out today to get the bread and milk situation sorted so hopefully a few pennies in the pot when i come back, both feeling quite heavy now so really hoping for 2 full tins in novemberSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
Great going HoneyBee!! It's always lovely when folk drop in to say how they're doing. If you've got quite a bit saved then why not bank it and add the amount on your siggy so you won't forget.
Good Idea!
I bagged up £200 :T so I think I will pay it into my saving account tomorrow. There is a lot more in there but I can now lift the pot a little easier!Emergency Savings #73 = £1,500/£2,000

Afternoon Folks - busy here as always. Potting away nicely though. Tin is very heavy so looking to hide (my 2 year old picked up this morning but was so heavy he dropped it within seconds narrowly missing his little toes). Will probably have to start another tin before the summer ends.
I hope all is well with everyone (sorry I haven't had time to read other posts - I've been summoned to help tidy up someone else's mess.

Afternoon all
Busy watching Wimbledon today - on and off with the rain- and that's Mr Murray through his first match in straight sets :T :j :T Hope you're liking it so far Sue
Had to wait until today to be able to pot my weekly £10, as DH borrowed my 'cash stash' until he went to the bank today. So now safely in the pot :j
Forget who asked now, but yes I did find the people over in Glasgow really friendly and helpfulHad to laugh though when DH's Chicken Milanese, basically chicken in a kind of tomato sauce with linguine, arrived with roast potatoes
Hope you all have a fandabadosy week

Gosh, haven't you all been busy!? Brilliant potting, jakes-mum getting all creative (I'm thinking new income stream!?), and all generally being wonderful humans. Sending love to you Frogletina, you are doing a wonderful job together with your DDs and I hope you are taking good care of yourself too. And to our resident fallers, I hope those bruises have been through all the colours of the rainbow and are disappearing along with the aches and pains!
Not much to report here in the way of potting, although the sun is very much continuing to shine for Cazzie and I am enjoying every single moment! (Antomac, I hope you are also enjoying a King Of The World period!) Sadly ERNIE didn't deliver again this month... (I can practically hear Martin saying I told you so!) But we live in hope for that cheeky big win! I don't want the million, just ten grand would do nicely! (Actually, £25 would do nicely!) So I will continue to comp and sell and pot and just hope that this sunshine will last and I can get back to work soon and start earning a living again!
Popping to the shops soon so hoping for a bit of change for the pot, but as money is tight at the moment I'm keeping my fivers separate and if I make it to the end of the month in good shape, then they can join the pot too. I'm also heading back to fat club this week, so I apologise in advance for my sugar-withdrawal-induced misery, but I am looking forward to no longer struggling doing up my shoelaces
Love and squishy hugs to all those who need a pick-me-up, and if anyone is having troubles of any kind, never forget that we are all here to listen. I love my pot family
Happy Tuesday and keeeeeeeeep potting!xxx
