Hellllllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
I am here!!still here,still around,still potting :j.
Life has been extremely busy.I continue decluttering the house (I did lose my mojo for about 6 weeks, but back on it now),work is busy, family keeps me on my toes........
I have been regularly potting.Alot of it is going in a pot that OH and I both throw coins in,for the £1 a day for Christmas thread (which I think I can add to the total for this thread),but I also have my own pots.I add to these every now and again, and usually I write down the amount I have potted,to record here later. But I can't find my notes.
The only ones I found, say that I potted £5.55 while tidying the kitchen on 17th June, and £8.40 while tidying the kitchen today. But I know I have potted more than that, because every fortnight, one of my customers pays me £25 cash, and a couple of those payments have gone straight into the tin.So I am keeping up with potting. And now I promise to keep up with the thread.
Lovely to see lots of new folks around here,as well as lots of familiar faces.xxSPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Hello you lovely lot!
I'm sorry I lost track of the thread for a long while and haven't been here at all this year. I tried to catch up with where you all are but I only managed to get to page 26 and I'm going have to give up, I don't think I'll catch up before November.
Anyway, I haven't touched my pot - to put in or take out - but i plan to change all that if you'll have me back.
I got married on June 6th, between that and a nail polish obsession I have managed to get myself about £4000 in debt. It's all on a 0% card though so i have time to pay it off. I'm sulking back to you all to help with that.
Did i miss anything? Are you all well and happy?
Ruth

Congratulations crimson-addict on your marriage and your weight loss. Fantastic news
I'm happy to say DH and I had a very boring weekend - we seem to have had so much on the last few months, it was nice to stay at home and not do much. Except for chasing peacocks out of the garden that is........ blumin nuisance birds leaving their Mr Whippy's all over the lawn and trying to steal the bird food from the bird table
I have £3.87 to pot today :j Have a lovely week potters.....SPC 16 - #09 Totals: 2014 - £264.51 2015 - £207.50 2016 - £396.79 2017 - £369.49 2018 - £484.24 2019 - £309.90 2020 -£282.06 2021- £1839.89 2022 -£1627.830 -
Hiya folks!! I hope a well deserved weekend was enjoyed by all, relaxing in sooooo much cooler weather! Enjoy the week ahead too Potters and save all you can!
To all those unwell or poorly, here's hoping that you're all very much better soon. Here for you are some {{{{hugs}}}} to help you through xxxx :grinheart
Great to hear of your LISA increase, Cazzie. What an extremely kind gesture of your friend in paying for your meal, bless her. :A My finger was seen to last week and although it's got a long way to go, at least it's getting there! Plenty of therapy but at least it all helps!
No great sum for me last week as we're still waiting for the air conditioning to be fixed (tomorrow all being well) which is bound to be costly! We'll be darned lucky if it isn't.
A very wise thought in leaving a 1p roadkill where it lay rather than becoming roadkill yourself!!!! I take it you went back and got it in the dead of night??! :rotfl:
I'm so pleased you had a wonderful time in Glasgow, Lynne, it's so good to have a break away. At least enjoying the sun was so much better than suffering the cold - even in summer!
Following up with a potted £10 makes it all kind of super special!! :j
So you're back from your holiday then, jakes-mum, I'm really pleased you enjoyed yourselves even if it was a trifle hot!!! Shouldn't you have had factor 50 to play it safe. So sorry to hear it didn't all go according to plan then! Have you complained? Officially I mean, if not then I really think you should as that was very bad treatment!!! Not to worry, at least you can now look ahead to your holiday with the kids in America!!Well done with the 2p!
I see you're continuing to do well with saving, MLE007, it'll stand you in far better stead for your holiday than without it!! Don't forget, after you've counted it all up to pop the amount on your siggy so it gets included when you declare it all in November!
More good saving 32b3! I can see why you do so very well each year!
Wow! You're visiting again after so long, Saver-upper!! Great to see you [STRIKE]at long last [/STRIKE]. Yes, of course you can include all savings when you declare your SPC cash in November! STILL decluttering??!! However long does it take for goodness sake?!!!! Excellent savings! Do please keep on paying us more regular visits!
Flipping heck Ruth, whatever rock you've hidden under has certainly left kept you from being detected!!!!
You're married earlier this month?....congratulations to you and hubby!!!!!Wonderful news!! :T A 5 stone weight loss is incredible too (does that mean he's expects you to work!!!:shocked:), very well done indeed and more congratulations!!!! :T Ok now it's time to focus on paying all that money back so keep with us and stay determined!!!! :j Great to have you home [STRIKE]at last[/STRIKE] finally!
I take it you mean you've had a very relaxing weekend, siju, boring sounds just that!:cool: Where the devil did the Peacocks come from? Don't they ever make one heck of a racket!!!! I imagine their Mr Whippy's is a foul amount of droppings....lovely! :rotfl:
Well saved by the way!
Have a lovely evening and Tuesday, Potters. :j Remember those pots!!!

Good afternoon potters,
Sue you have such a wonderful way of catching up with everyone. You'll be a tough act to follow when you take a well earned back seat on SPC11. I was in your old county at the weekend in the New Forest, in a lovely little place called Tiptoe. Couldn't get mobile reception which was actually a pleasant change.
Potted a few more coins this week, not sure how many, which is kind of how I like it to make it a bit of a surprise come November. I just love the new one pound coins, and love potting them.
Thoughts with anyone on this thread who is having tough times, of which there are a few. Mum's brother passed away last week which was upsetting for her but also a mercy. Luckily we got to see him a few days before he went and it was clear he'd had enough. The staff at the Nursing Home would have had a shock if they'd seen him as he used to be. Bit of a ladies' man back in the day, so I think they got off a bit lightly
What I love about this challenge is I've never seen a cross word between anyone on here and it's all very supportive. Long may that continue.
Have a great week everyone. Keep potting whatever you can (any amount makes a difference) and make the most of every day. Life is precious, even if a bit of a challenge at times!
Lynne I hope you found the Glaswegians friendly. I remember a really friendly bus driver when I was up there. Chatted to us all the way from the Airport to the Railway Station. When we got off the bus my wife asked me what he was saying to us. I had to admit to having absolutely no idea and I'm the son of a Scotsman! :rotfl:27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 50 -
Evening all,
It's been another cloudy day for Cazzie but I am fighting on. And how lovely it is to know that if I pop along to the best board on the world wide web there will be hugs and understanding ears and shoulders in abundance. This really is so much more than a chat forum - it's a community and I love each and every one of you.
Congratulations crimson.addict on your marriage, I hope it is a long and happy one with lots of potting! Antomac, I'm so sorry for your loss but it sounds like you have a lot of wonderful memories which I hope will bring you comfort. And Sue, beloved Fairy Potmother, what is this about you taking a back seat in SPC 11!? Of course I don't begrudge you a break and you certainly work so hard on here but I will miss your beautiful posts which never miss a single person and make everyone feel so wonderfully welcome and important.
Nothing to pot today but nothing spent. Didn't make it to see my friend, it all got a bit much today, but saved a few pennies although I hate being such a flake and letting people down. As a fellow sufferer though she completely understands. In fact, all my friends and family have been incredibly understanding. I'm a very lucky girl.
I did take a little wander back to when I rejoined at the beginning of April as I was interested to see how much I had potted, thought it might give me a little boost. Incredibly, in two and a half months I've tucked away over £350! And I actually started potting on New Year's Day so I'm quietly confident I can hit my £1,000 target towards my Emergency Fund. So that gave me a little lift.
Lots of love to all of you who need some and even those who don't. And thank you so much for always being there for me and each other xxxHouse Deposit Fund - £30,000 / Fees Fund - £5,000Furniture Fund - £2,500 / White Goods Fund - £2,500 / Flooring Fund - £2,500Emergency Fund - £7,500365 Day Penny Challenge for 2025 - £637.92/£667.95 (Holiday Fund)£2 Savers Club for 2025 - £24/£200 (Christmas Fund)52 Week Card Challenge for 2025 - £267/£400 (Fun Fund)0 -
Hi all, I'm still potting away. Up to just over £120 now, I did have more, but needed cash so had to dip in a little bit. Will put it back soon though.0

Afternoon, potters!
Well, it's a miserable rainy day here (but still annoyingly hot!?) but I'm glad I braved the rain to venture into town because I exchanged the many Euros I had left over from Mummy's special 60th birthday holiday in Greece two years ago and am now the proud owner of £135.44! It was a shared kitty between me and my brother but that there is my half! Think we slightly over-estimated how much we would spend! The cashier said we played it brilliantly because we bought them and sold them back at the best times - look at me going all economics, Martin would be so proud! I've set aside £100 ready for the bank account I am going to open for my Godson-to-be - I plan to save £50 every birthday until he's 18, and if I add £50 for his Christening and £50 just for being born, I make that a tidy £1,000. The rest gives me a teensy bit of breathing space only being on half pay at the moment, but I have kept the fiver out of the bank to go in the pot, and swapped some shrapnel with Mum for a shiny new £1 coin so that's another £6 in my pot tonight.
Hope you're all having lovely Tuesdays and finding lots of lovely pot money to feed your little ones later on!xxx

Well done on your nice windfall CazzieLT Sounds like today has been much better for you. Very kind of you to do that for your Godson too.
Fell over today and bruised my shoulder, knee and both hands so feel sorry for myself today and a right clown. At least I can tell my Mum it's not just her!
