Hello Potters,
Still potting away the coins. My Pot is feeling rather heavy now which is spirring me on to keep going!

Its payday tomorrow :j so I have just had a tip out of my purse and I have £34.90 to put in my sealed tins
I have put all my £ coins in a bag to take to the bank as we will no longer be able to use them come October

Potted £2 today. Pot is getting nice and heavy now

In light of the change over of £ coins I'll open my pot at the end of March and bank the contents. I've bought another pot to continue onto Nov. Look forward to potting my first new £ coin

Thank you for your lovely words Sue....they made me tear up but that's definitely not a bad thing....And thank you Vicky for your lovely hugs....I'm doing a bit better today....Had a good cry on the Phone to my Brother last night so that's probably a good thing...

Now I'm just watching Graham Norton that I recorded on Friday to have a good old laugh...sometimes laughter is the best medicine

And in honour of you all being so lovely (and me staying motivated) I'm potting 60p into my Pot when I've finished typing this Post...It may not be much but it's better than nothing...and every little bit helps

*Big Hugs* to anyone that needs them....We have a long way to go before November...plenty of time to Pot and save...and just think, whatever you Pot is saving and is better than Potting nothing at all... xXx

Managed to stay within my household and groceries budget (£120) by 0.65p and my personal budget (£80) by £2.78. So that got potted, also 5p that was left on the sofa when Mr P got up and 7p road kill : )

High level financial negotiations with the smalls today, I had to swap some of their lovely shiny silver coins for my smelly old £1 coins, which is how they saw it at least. Potted a fiver in total ... yippee!

I potted some money yesterday but I do not know how much. Today I potted £9.71.

Please don't think your money is any less important than anyone else's, there are many of us just like you who can only save small amounts, so don't just tiptoe in in future, boldly come on in and state what you've saved because whatever it is it's money saved and not spent or squandered! :j Whether you do achieve your goal is £250 or not is not the major issue really, what matters is that you just keep on saving as hard as you can - always hoping for a brighter few saving times along the way!

You are doing very well Louby and even though it may only be small amounts that you're throwing into your pot the main thing is that it's habitual every week! :dance:Great going and keep it up!!!

As to the FB lark it's a darned nuisance. :mad: I sort of noticed that you had relaxed a bit but then in all honesty I think perhaps you may have been entitled to take your foot off the gas having had a week off work - back to normal now perhaps?! I am so very sorry to hear about your poor mum MissDM, is she ok now or improving? I really do hope so. Wonderful to hear the staff were so good with her.
Please don't think another thing about needing to take cash from your pot, I wouldn't have expected you not to have done; I'm just delighted you had it there ready! Save well again when you're able - along with the stash of emergency coins at the ready just in case!

WOW Lost - another terrific monthly potting!! :eek::j Very wise thinking with the £1s too! Thanks so very much for the link to the new coins coming in, they look beautiful, secure too, plus for many of us (not me you understand :cool:) it's a step back in time as the £1s are so much like the old 3d bit! Thin too so be on the look out folks for any that are sadly dropped!

A very good idea indeed, Dragon Lily, far better to have peace of mind, and I never thought you wouldn't have added your Total to your siggy :A....though I'd probably have reminded you if you hadn't have said!! :rotfl:

You're most welcome Helen, and it's so true about having a good cry at such times as it's far better to let it out as it really does help us so much, and is ten times better than holding it in!
