  • Hi Sue ... just wanted to add some more information to your note ...
9/ "Where to take bags of cash at the end of the year?": With regards to this all important question, here's vital help from girlatplay: "I bank with Bank of Scotland and they accept as many change bags as you have, as long as you take them to the business banking counter." That is so handy for members to know, many thanks to GAP. This applies to many banks, I suspect most banks/building societies are the same if truth be known.

Some banks have coin depositing machines where you don't even have to bag the money up. One Natwest I used recently had one. They don't take a % like the ones you see at supermarkets, but they are just there for bank customers.

A very good evening to you all Potters! I hope you're really enjoying Saturday, even amid the showers, which you are a pest but we can't do anything about them so……! Enjoy the day and have a lovely relaxing evening. For all those of you who might be a little poorly or who are down in the dumps for whatever reason then here are a load of good wishes and very many {{{{hugs}}}} to help you feel much better very soon! :grinheart

Thanks a lot for that information, Roller Coaster, yes, you're right swapping money over that way has been in operation for several years now, but it's always a good thing to remind members that aren't aware so thanks a lot. Also for those who hate smelly money fingers :( after counting up it's a great way to avoid it. :D As for the Co!nstar machines in the supermarket, they're a rip off!!!!!!

You're definitely persistent in your saving, 32b3, never give up, though the likelyhoods of that happening will be slimmer than me!:rotfl:

That's exactly what I was hoping to hear, Vicki! :T Sometimes it doesn't take a great deal to lift us but whatever does then that's the best thing to go for!! You're right about your savings too, even if it's not much it still adds up ready for declaration day!! :D

Well saved Kim_13, but if you get anymore £1s then pop them into an old container or purse. Better still swap them for other coins.

Two ideal paragraphs to always bear in mind and live life with, Helen. :grinheart Another is, if you can't change something then don't let it worry you, move on! ;) Onward and upward Helen, you're making good progress!

Hubby & I had some fantastic news yesterday - our darling Granddaughter is just over 11 weeks pregnant!!!!! :j She didn't tell anyone before as the first time she fell pregnant when she went for the 12 week scan, they found the poor little mite dead in the womb. Amy & DH were devastated, our DD too. Sadly these things happen and I firmly believe that the poor little darling, for whatever reason, just wasn't meant to be. Anyway, we can all now look forward to September 16th or there abouts. It'll be wonderful for our DD to have something truly positive to look ahead to rather than her MS so often being the main thing to think about. BTW. £20 in the pot after shopping! :D

Enjoy a wonderful weekend, folks. Feed your pots well!!! :D

    Sue xx

    Evening lovely potting peoples :hello:

Brilliant family news Sue re your grand-daughter and her pregnancy - hope all goes well :D

I have potted my weekly £10 and a bit of odd change. I will be having an add up soon, as we are off on our holibobs in just thirteen days now and would rather leave it in the bank. I'll add it to siggie when done.

Hope you all having a lovely weekend
