Awful people.
No it shouldn't be reversed.
But there's something very disturbing about people that fight not to allows others oversight of their dictates.Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -
We're a tad closer to the now inevitable constitutional crisis and possible civil unrest after this judgement today. If the Remainiacs and their 'representatives' in Parliament have genuine fears about the prospects for a post EU UK, then they should try and imagine a UK where the democratic will of the people is trying to be thwarted or altered under the guise of so called Parliamentary scrutiny.
I like millions of others voted in our typically quiet British way for a fundamental change of direction for our country. Do not f*** with me.
Can you imagine if the powerful liberal alliance manages to keep us Governed from Brusells, at least halve the population will be looking for a very hard single focus party to get us out of the sinking ship and from paying £28 million per day and that party would win the GE hands down, and the the Remoaners really will have altered the tone of the nation for the worse in thier eyes.
I'm not overly concerned though, remember 68.8% of areas came out for leave and any MP wanting to get elected knows this. The figure for England and Wales was over 75%. And note this was in the force ten establishment gale that was project fear.0 -
Yes absolutely and for too many valid reasons. The percentage voting for brexit is small compared to the population of the UK (under 27%), not to mention that that referendum itself is just a recommendation, not to mention that leaving the EU is vague and gives no clear instructions nor mandate to exit the single market and affect the rights of residents. Not to mention the possible breakdown of the UK altogether due to fundamental disagreements. The list goes on and on
You do realise that the last Labour Govt only managed to gain around 36% of the popular vote and in 2010 the Tories only managed around the same percentage so why weren't you on here whinging about the lack of a democratic mandate?.
Sounds like you only want democracy when it suits you.
Hypocrite ..........
The public were told that it was our choice during the referendum and that Parliament would uphold the will of the people. So in fact the referendum was not a "recommendation" as you call it.0 -
Did the referendum vote mean Brexit at any price and by any means?
Because that is what May wants.
Brexit should happen but not be left to the whims and ideas of a couple of people.
The question on the referendum paper was simple.
The PM`s approach has my full support so far.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -

Did the question mention 'as the PM sees fit'?
We also elected MPs to hold the government of the day to account, I'd like to see that done. Anything thing else is pure dictatorship
Which I guess suits a lot of the right wing nut-jobs.Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -
Yet another waste of public money.0

Tell you what, I`ll see you in Parliament Square some time next year when they attempt to subvert the will of the people, as they will.
Perhaps you and yer mates would like to refer to me as tard, xenophobe, racist or right wing nut-job to my face. I personally don't think you've got the a**e.:rotfl::rotfl:“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -

Does this high court ruling change the time line for brexit in any way?
I think even if the case drags on in supreme court for another 2 months ... govt will be still on for a March A50 date.
Whats your opinion?0 -

Whats your opinion?
I think that will be the case unless the Supreme Court* refers the case to the European Court of Justice on the question of whether A50 is reversible or not, in which case it may take longer.
