Thanks purplem02! I've always worked best under pressure, but it's annoying that I nearly come to a standstill when the pressure is off. I need to find ways to keep productive and motivated even when things ease up. I haven't managed it so far...0

Hi Misty
Been a bit absent but looks like you have been full steam ahead!
Sorry you have had bad news hope you are okay?
I totally know what you mean about more being done if busy. If I have loads on in afternoon I can get entire house cleaned in the morning....... leave me a whole weekend free and i'll be looking around sunday night thinking why didn't I do it!Debt: £14,000 now £2169Emergency Fund: 1000/ £1000:j0 -
Thanks JVR, yes there has been bad news aplenty! Still, it's nothing that can be helped so just need to deal with it and get on as best I can.
I can so relate to your house cleaning, I need to find something that lights a fire under me each morning so I have more productive days more often. Sadly just thinking "it will feel so nice to have it all done" isn't enough! Of course if I have a few very productive days in a row, I feel like I need a few days to recuperate from all my efforts. Kind of pathetic really0 -
Not at all....... If I have loads on, on a Saturday I know I need to book nothing in on the sunday or I feel stressed and overwhelmed! Realising that I need this has genuinely made my life better as I'm happy to book things in on a Saturday without worrying because I know my sunday rule haha..... friends have accepted I cant handle too much socialising seems to be working well!Debt: £14,000 now £2169Emergency Fund: 1000/ £1000:j0

Thank you Earthgirl! I recently re-read "How I Lived a Year on Just a Pound a Day" by Kath Kelly. It hasn't inspired me to get moving but has really inspired me to not spend unless truly necessary without feeling hard done by.
I'd be interested to hear if anyone has anything else to recommend!0 -
Feeling very unmotivated today, I'm in a I-don't-want-to-do-anything mood and it's getting me down. I'm a bit fuzzy headed which is making concentrating on anything quite an effort, not sure what is causing it but it has been going on for a few days now.
I have too much to do to let my mood win so I'm going to make a big coffee and get on with it.0 -
Drinking lots of water might help...... I was fuzzyheaded and exhausted the other day... had a pint of water and realised I had just been dehydrated! oopsDebt: £14,000 now £2169Emergency Fund: 1000/ £1000:j0

Thanks JVR, I will make a point of drinking a lot of water today!
The only good thing about the fuzziness is it's making me feel a bit numb, so it's easier to force myself to just get on with the boring things like sorting laundry. I've had a fairly productive morning, and have a couple more things to do before making a start on the bread dough for pizza tonight.0
