Ey up don't scare away the cake chat its rare here. And, yes it was lush.
By my calculations I've now earnt enough holidays to have a good 10 minutes paid holiday.
Although a proper 3/4 hour lunch break is nice and tea breaks who knew they existed.
DH booked first ski trip today. Woop. This one is on him I do the cheap as chips one at the end of the seaons complete with stripey noodles and sachets of sauce.
Off to bed for me, tired lady - have a great evening.
Once I manage to get some photos up I'll share a bit of the garden.

MrsTinks yikes a lot of hours but like you say if you love it you love it.
I certainly love mine. I'm now based in a 2.5 acre walled garden with associated gardens of informal and formal of around 5 acres, a special collection and a really big funky hoose which they don't let me in as I'm a bit muddy mostly.
My main job is in an office which is an old converted manor type building - my office overlooks a lake complete with ducks and swans - fields behind that with sheep and trees - I do love my view!
I've worked out I do about 45 hours including lunches - which I often work so I'm counting them. Then it's not unknown that I'll be working in the evenings but such is life of a start up. The good thing is when it's quiet I have time to spend on MSE
lol
They also don't mind when it's quiet for any reason that I take a morning to go do stuff that I want to (like shooting lessons - here people don't play golf, they shoot... which thankfully I'm much better at than golf which makes it easier to get involved with corporate events and not get excluded as the only female because it's a mans sport)
*Second* job will be 5 hours a week and my *sometimes* job probably averages 5 hours a month... SO lets say an hour a week to even it out... Meaning not including commute I do easily 50+ hours a week without trying... And then people ask why I don't go to the gym or why I need a cleaner
Garden sounds lovely - again no time to do much with mine - and I've found it very hard to bond with the garden in this house - 3 years on and I just don't feel it...

I will be following your diary with interest! I haven't worked full time since 1996, and am currently only part time, but I need to bring in more money and more hours may be the best way to do it. I hope I can find something I am passionate about too!0

Happy new diary! You've come a long way since I first stumbled across those stripey money worries. In fact we all have; can't quite believe how the years have flown by!
Congratulations on the full-time position! The job situation does sound like a lot to take on but if it's all stuff you love doing then it isn't just a job is it?
Wish you were nearer here as I could really use some garden advice!0 -
Dear hearts - here's a wee treat of a view. I do like a lovely rake of a path in the afternoon sun. Yesterdays efforts.

I think finding something that you're passionate about helps so much. What really makes you smile? Maybe there's a way into a job in that somehow :A thanks for popping by.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Well you're clearly in the right place as we seem to be kindered spirits, office view sounds ace, mine is less filled with ducks, more filled with tools but the view outside the potting shed is amazing.
Cleaner now that is something we are debating.
I'm not sure its worth the money, but then again, it might be worth the time.
And, lets be clear I am not precious about my squallor or dust. Anyone can see it or have it, or tidy it. Its if the money spent is worth it.
EG I'd rather a cleaner than a dog walker if I had to choose.
Those are the kind of debates churning around my washing machine head.
Cleaner V Dog Walker V none of them as I am, of course ultra organised and superwoman.
NOT.

:rotfl: at you not being precious about your dust
:rotfl: I'd quite happily come and be a live in cleaner and dog walker*
* I'm not actually very good at cleaning and I'm a complete pushover when it comes to your dogs so they'd probably just doze all day and wake up for occasional treats
