Don't for get to 'pay yourself first' as they say - portion off some of the pay into savings before you get a chance to spend it.

  • Blimey in the email, well I'd never had cleared that massovie amount of debt without you all teaching me all things frugal.

:) so huge thank you to all.

Beanie dogs can come but I'm teaching a lot and often to rampaging hounds aren't just that 'co-operative' so I give htem a walk at 7ish am at work take them to potting shed for half hour then they get walk at lunch and THEN a walk of 1hr by dog walker.

:) all good they're liking the diversity and at least there is no panic for me if the walk is short I give them.

EH I know is all I am saving.

Trog yup jetlag/snowdrop head. But if I dont sleep at least I get things done.

Cheery and INOD and LGC thank you.

Funny old day, full day work, then showing the cleaner how shoddy my housekeeping skills actually are. Followed by cinema (T2) whilst others have ranted about it, Im not sure what I think. Funny yes. Iconic, verdict is out. Scenery is spectacular though.

    No spends.

  • Hey chaps

A not very work life balanced week but we're busy and happy in the team generally.

Big thank you for a mention in the mail and online - wowsers, little old me tis I that should be telling you all how amazing you all are and how I couldn't have cleared so much of that £35k debt without you.

I also just got a happy 9 year anniversary badge. How cool is that.

    Blimey.

In more life balanced news I paid the dogwalker/cleaner - and cancelled a couple dd's I didn't need so that will contribute towards that.

I have got my bro coming over to chainsaw some trees and chop up more fuel, I can't manage to do all of it myself. Finally just asked for a bit of help. We'll feed him well.

Spends not much this week aside petrol and T2 ticket.

I know that this is controversial but I'd advise anyone who's not super keen to wait and to see it online/dvd.

Shoot me now but it didn't rock me as I thought it was, funny it was yes, beautifully shot but not, nor I think it could have been, as big as the first. Nor as hard hitting. It was funny.

Chores to do and a bit more house to straighten out.

    Have a good one.

Morning pippi :) thinking of you this morning, partly because I saw a heery cairn at the local shops, and partly because I now have a shiny new pair of bright red overalls :D Very excited about that :D For now they're for DIY but I'm hoping they'll last long enough to make it to new house (probably another 20 years at this rate  ) amd I'll be able to potter in them and my bright yellow wellies looking like some kind of kids tv character :D

Sun's shining here :) might put some bread on, and I've got some biscuit dough in the freezer to defrost and bake for snacks later. Not sure what to have for lunch mind you!

Ooh well if you've got your 9 year badge then mine must be due along in a few months too - hurrah! And happy Nineiversary to you! :D

It sounds like all is good in spite of work/life balance being out of kilter - and that's a great thing, if you can be happy at that stage, you can REALLY be happy when it's back on a more even keel post-snowdrop I'd say!

Cheery add a nice spotty scarf into your outfit and you'd definitely be up for a kids TV presenting spot! :rotfl:

Well done for asking your brother for help with stuff you can't quite manage too - he loves that sort of thing and it frees you up in exchange for feeding him, what's not to like?! :T
