Deleted_User - that sounds awful. I second the suggestion of sulphate free shampoo. Is the itching better if you don't wash your hair for a few days? If it isn't then it sounds like a problem caused by something other than products.
I have thought about going to the doctor but whenever I go about anything she just asks me if it's down to stress so I can't see as she'll be much help. I'm going to try cutting back on wheat though as until recently I'd stopped eating bread and pasta etc and now I've started again. Thanks for your reply!I have a sensitive scalp and I now only use shampoos which don't contain sulphates such as Sodium Laurel Sulphate. My scalp has since improved a lot. I also swear by The Body Shop Ginger Shampoo. One of its active ingredients is Salicylic Acid which is good for skin complaints.0 -
Few more UUs:
Lush Mistletoe Bath Bomb WNBA. It's pretty but I didn't like the smell as much once it was in the water. I'm quite glad I didn't like it in a way because, as it's a Christmas one, I might have felt the need to stock up if I liked it!
Ikea candle, purple, floral scented. WDBA
Poundland wipes WNBA. These were ok but not very soft.
Probably going to Ikea next week so the candle count might go up!!0 -
So, I went Christmas shopping this evening and ended up in Boots - they have their 'Spend £50 get £10 of Advantage Card points' offer.
I did need to top up on some essentials - some medicine cabinet stuff, cotton wool etc but I also have some more INs to declare!
2 x Original Source Hibiscus and Pomegranate Tea shower gel - this is my favourite special edition scent, so thought I'd get a few more before they go!
4 x Mitchum Deodorant - on offer 2 for £4 and they are a HG for me - always going to need deodorant!
Eylure eyebrow dye - never done it myself at home before, but I have friends who use this. I normally pay £8 a time at a salon, this was £7.50 for a pack that contains 12 applications, so cost saving!
Aussie 3 minute miracle - I love this stuff, and since I've had my hair coloured I feel it needs some more love!
And since seeing so many good things on here about it, I treated myself to a small Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish to try it out once I have used up my current cleansers!0 -
UU Dove Colour Care Shampoo. Weekend away now and whilst packing I find DH has checked loads of moisturiser hotel minis in my stash:mad: I've enough of my own to get through lolDebt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -
Hi everyone. Hope you are all ok. I have some uus to report but thankfully no ins again, although i am trying to avoid the temptation of the ori flame catalogue. Ive promised myself i can have a treat when i get a new job. Been for a job interview today which i think went well but thry were interviewing all day so i dount i will get the position - theres bound to be someome more experienced etc. But nevermind ill keep on trying. I got a letter today saying my works decision is they still want me at the bigger care home. :-/ im too scared for my health to go back there and the way they handled it has left me with pretty much no confidence. Not reslly sure where to go from here. Also had some pretty invasive, undignified and painful tests on my kidneys and bladder all day at hospital yesterday. Still pretty sore and uncomfortable so im proud of myself that i got to the interview at all. I was so glad to get home and have a nice warm shower with my lush as i felt so disgusting and i stunk of hospital. :-/ i did however have a good laugh with the radiographer about my lush obsession and hoarding and she admitted that she loves the snell of lush and uses the products too.
i just started rambling on about my hoarding and toiletries to try and take my mind off the pain
Anyway i have uus to report:
Lush Lord of Misrule shower cream 100g- WBA love the scent of this. Its a novelty that you end up green in the shower too.
Mellor & russell macadamia body butter- WMBA this was okay and did smell good and was a bargain. It does take a while to rub it in though.
Lush elbow grease moisturising bar sample- WBA this smells lovely and did a good job at softening the hard bits on my feet. As part of my disability means im prone to rubs/blisters/ulcers, this did a great job at preventing rubs and really softened my skin in the vulnerable areas. This was so good ive already got a full size bar in my stash.
Schwarzkopf essence ultime satin frizz control conditioner - WBA this did a fantastic job and was a bargain in pound stretcher. This worked really well on my hair and smells lovely. Going to look out for more of this.No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2015/2016/2017/2018

Catriona- fingers crossed for you that you get moved in before chrisymas. I know how frustrating it can be - we moved house 2 months ago but actually moved out of our house in august - had to stay with a friend of my mums for a month. Getting a completion date was a nightmare. I really really hope that you can be in by christmas.
Piratey- good luck for your jaw operation, i hope everything goes well and that you recover quickly. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2015/2016/2017/2018

How do you get samples of Clinique? The Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel has been on my wish list for a while, but I'd prefer to try before I buy.
Unfortunately I was given them by a work colleague so I've no idea...I don't usually buy Clinique so it was nice to get some. Maybe try one of their counters in a department store?
Thanks Gemzie, sadly with no news yesterday we definitely won't be in before Christmas which is very annoying as I've done everything I can to get to exchange stage and the vendor is holding us up. Until we've exchanged I'm going to be very jittery about the sale falling through (and I had the offer accepted way back in the first week of September). But at least now I know it's not happening I can focus on just relaxing for Christmas."Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0 -
piratey - good luck with your op.
Catriona - house buying is so antiquated in this country.
I have a uu
Ojon Revitalising Mist 175ml - I love everything about this except the price, WMBA but not planning to just because of the cost.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

2 quick UU's...
Activ roll on deo 'Linen' by Lacura - Aldi cheapie. I don't like deo scents to over-power my perfume, and this works fine for me even when at the gym etc. so I think I will just stick to this brand from now on.
Dove Rich Nourishment cream - A bit greasy, and took a while to sink in to my hands, probably more suited as a body butter. Also very strongly scented. WMBA if I could not find anything else.No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!0
