No buying unnecessary toiletries-November 2016

I almost clicked "buy" on 3 items of make up with a 20% discount (things that I will buy eventually), but then I found a fantastic offer on a food processor (to replace my dead one), £150 with the next best price being £215, cannot have everything that I desire and the FP will make my life so much easier:D:D:D
Wow that's a good bargain. Actually MRM got a bargain too. The North Face coat for Emma down from £180 to £115.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

VALM - no Sharp Shower isn't being discontinued but it is £19 ish a bottle and I can't see me spending that much, when I bought this one I got a duo from Debenhams for about £18.
Black Friday is also Buy Nothing Day (a real thing here and USA), I went down that route and didn't spend one single penny on anything on Friday.
I have a uu
Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic 200ml - I do like this but it doesn't actually do anything. I have replaced it with another the same which is my last toner in the stash.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
Fashion on the Ration 28/660 -
One UU:
The Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Cream WBA - I love this. But I think it's more suited for warmer months when I don't need as much hydration. I think I'm going to need to get another Palmer's Hand Cream.
I am knackered from work, only have today left and then I have a day off0 -
A few more UU:
30.Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur Sample - WMB - used this as a primer on Friday night and was slightly worried when the creamy primer came out in a light pink colour! However, it seemed to soothe my parched skin and my make up stayed well all night. Plus, my skin seemed to look good in the morning too.
31.Along Came Better Pure Pores Mask WNBA - This appears to be a knock off of soap&glory products. It was fine, didn't break me out or anything but I'm not sure about putting something so fragranced on my face and for this reason I would not buy again.
32.Decanted Conditioner
I have job interviews for next week and am wondering what nail colour is appropriate... I have Ciate Prima Ballerina which I love but not sure if it's too dark or whether I should opt for a nude, I have two, but don't really love either of them and probably wouldn't trust them not to chip so would have to keep re-doing.0 -

it is a lovely colour- it is suitable for conservative jobs and the more artsy roles. Generally if you wear clothing to suit the role then you are doing well. Best wishes with the interview- bring a smart bag that is large enough to carry a copy of your cv and a smart coat or jacket.
An inside trick is be nice and polite to the receptionist and other staff, look interested and friendly. Sometimes how you are before the interview is asked about.0 -

Thank you so much for your advice!0 -
UU
Montagne Jeunesse Cool Mint Peel Off Mask 10ml - I felt refreshed after using this but I find peel off masks a bit messy to remove so would probably not buy this again. Have replaced this with another sachet. I have 2 sachet masks left. After they're gone, I can work through the face masks I have in tubes.
M&S Rosehip Hand Cream 30ml - This was a good hand cream. It sank in quickly but is probably a better cream to use in the summer. It was one of 4 in a gift set. I have one tube left from the set to use up.
Have updated my PP list on p1 of this thread. I probably won't have too many more use ups for the month but I aim to use up a perfume sample sachet (I know it's small but still counts) and hopefully my dry shampoo and/or shower gel.No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2019 Total UU since 2016 - 396 | Total February UU - 10 -
Evening all
1 more UU for me
Lacura 100 cotton wool pads, WBA and have another in stock.
Hoping to have some more in the last couple of days from my PP list.

A few little UU's as we get towards the end of the month:
- Organic Surge reviving eye gel. WNBA - their eye cream is much better. This wasn't rich enough for me. Mostly used up on my neck.
- Elemis PCMC Ultra Rich, 15ml. WMBA. But have 4 minis of the normal version to use first
- Elizabeth Arden prevage daily serum 5ml. WNB - nice, sank into skin well, but didn't seem that amazing.0 -
Hi all!
I have some INs:
8. Sainsburys Christmas Spice Candle - Buy this every year.
9. Barry M That’s How I Roll Mascara - I really wanted the nail duo that was free with a £7 spend on Barry M and you couldn't buy it on its own so I got this and another nail polish (I don't currently count polish). I need to bin most of my open mascaras soon and this is meant to be a dupe of Benefit Rollergirl.
10. Almond Oil. Got this as a first foray into oil cleansing. I just used it to take my makeup off and I did not enjoy using it for eye makeup! So I think I'll keep using a dedicated eye product for that. It did take the rest of my makeup easily enough. Also my current cleanser (Lush Spring Cleanser) normally leaves my skin feeling a bit tight and when I second cleansed with it after the oil, it felt soft so the oil must do something!
Also UUs:
19. Nip and Fab Dragon’s Blood Cleansing Pads WNBA. These were more moisturising than I expected but left my face feeling a bit sticky.
20. B&M Essence Apple Orchard candle WMBA, I liked this and it was good value but it needed a lot of attention to stop it tunnelling.
21. Monu Soothing Touch Recovery Balm WBA. I think this was from a beauty box. It was a sample but lasted ages. It genuinely is soothing and I really like the smell. It's moisturising without being too heavy.
22. Balance Me Body Wash WNBA. This was free with a mag. Didn't like it. It was drying and smelt like bathroom cleaner.
I've also been through my drawers again so GA 7 hair products, 4 bath products, a cleanser, a micellar gel and a scrub. They'll either go to the refuge when my friend does her Christmas collection or as little extras for Christmas presents.
Re Black Friday. I really don't think it's been that good, deal-wise. I ordered a little present for my sister but the 20% code just cancelled out the P&P. I ordered an H&M cardigan with 20% and free p&P because it was out of stock in my local but I would have ordered it without the code anyway because I wanted it. And my almond oil was a 'Black Ticket' item in Holland & Barrett so it was half price. The shops in town were nowhere near as busy as I thought they would be today except M&S and Debenhams. I even got one of my 'favourite' parking spaces :rotfl:
Going to Bluewater on Tuesday and they've just reopened their H&M after a refurb. I'm really hoping they've got the new beauty range. I've been putting off ordering because I want to see it in store first. Fingers crossed it's there and that Bluewater in general isn't too crazy!0
